Do you know why he opted for Chevrolet badges? Sure the engine is a Chevy but it just seems strange that people want Chevy badges over Holden ones.

A few of the lads that work for my dad have done that too. When I asked them why, only one of them gave me the Chev engine response. The others didnt know

 

I've seen them in the CarToys catalogue here in Adelaide, they are pretty expensive, for just badges. (I was thinking about putting GT-R badges on my 91 Pintara )

I don't mind when people remove the Holden badges from say a SC Barina and then replace them with Opel badges as well as the Barina for Corsa. Simply because the whole car is just a Opel Corsa rebadged, still has Opel badge on the engine too. You can't say a Holden VT Commodore is a rebadged anything else since its not. Putting aside that it has roots to the Opel Omega family albeit far removed.

Holden sends Commodores (And others like the statesman) over to Saudi Arabia, South Africa and some other countries as Chevy Luminas. Even then, it doesn't justify putting a Chevy badge on your Commodore, actually it makes no sense at all The Statesman is badged as a Daewoo in Korea (As well as a Buick in China), but I don't see everyone slapping Daewoo badges on their Statesman or Caprice.

 

Still, your father is a freakin' legend. Just get rid of the Chevy badges

 

Love to buy a VT or VX in the future and convert into a proper 4-Door Monaro or GTS Coupe and then make it a GenTT or Supercharge it. With the proper rear and eveything, not just the tail lights. The boot is quite different to the normal Commodore

It isn't really an amazing car, but I saw this and took a picture of it while I was in Miami.

I thought it was cool, I had seen them on t.v. and online but never in person, and while I was down there, I saw 2, as well as loads of Lamborghini's and Ferrari's.

The coolest car I've ever seen in my city was a Silver 2006 Ford GT. My jaw dropped because the next nicest car ANYWHERE in town is probably the red '06 (or 07, I cant remember) Dodge Charger RT. Mind you the next nicest car I've seen in town here was a red Nissan Skyline R32 or R33. My jaw dropped when I saw that as I thought I'd never see one, being illegal in canada and all. I think it was from out of town though as I've only ever seen it once. I got a nice long glimpse of it though, it stopped at a stop sign in front of my apartment building.

 

the next nicest car I've seen anywhere is a yellow lamborghini, I think it was a diablo or a countach, it was a while back ('bout 5 years) up in Calgary. Damn thing only stood up to about my waist, probably just a high curb I was on though, it was LOW though.

 

Unfortunately no pics it's a very rare occasion that I have a camera on me, and even then these were just a 10-15 second glimpse, so pullin out a camera would've taken too long.

I don't know I kind of like them, and they are fast and could out manuver a new mustang. And for the record I am not saying the new mustang sucks it just the charger has a much better suspension system. Oh and topic I saw that lotus elise again the bastard! I want it.
