Also I saw something as rare as a early model 2-door (or is it considered 3-door?) Peugeot 309 the other day, and last week I saw something even rarer, a Plymouth Reliant!

Today I had one of my best successful spots. Not a car show or anything like that, just a completely random spot at the mall. I was walking towards the exit of the mall by Neiman Marcus and heard something loud idling. I turned around and that feeling I get when I see something really striking hit me lol. I thought he was about to leave and I was right. So I got the camera out as quick as I could and got some pictures. Well. It was exiting the valet and it was heading towards me so I decided to get some front shots.

 

He noticed and stopped for me and threw up the peace sign and then motioned for me to come over. We shook hands and he gave me the name to his Instagram account and then let me get more pictures. Really nice guy. He even flipped up the headlights for me. I still can't believe it as I'm typing this that I spotted this. At a car show? I'd still be shocked because they rarely show up. But randomly? Oh my god, even better. And it's one of those Flying Mirror variants, supposedly pretty rare.

 

Seeing stuff like this and meeting people like this are why I spot. Anyways, here are two of my best pictures:

The other week I went to Bologna Motor Show. Unfortunately there were very few cars this year, but I still managed to see some nice cars.

For now, here's the Ferrari Portofino. Love that color.

Yeah they were cool. The problem is that there will be only a few because they got donated by Alfa Romeo or something like that.

The tendering procedure for Polizia and Carabinieri vehicles was won by Seat so now we got Seat Leon instead of the Alfa 159 we used to have. Feels bad

I can't believe the best specc'd 488 in town wrecked last month:

 

 

Rare bronze wheels, a black interior with matching Blu Corsa diamond stitched inserts. And it wrecked... I've seen this 488 Spider about 4 times and the first time was back in May. I remember I did a double take and was like "am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?" I was just looking at Blu Corsa 488 Spiders on Instagram moments before I saw that. And on those rare bronze wheels? Too bad it's totaled and the driver was at fault, hitting another vehicle. He wasn't intoxicated but I doubt he'll get another one.

This is why supercars are rarer than they actually are, but e.g. Opel Corsa is frequent af. I don't like it
