Hmm.. RoxRox, why not try selecting the hood in the 'Modify' tab, then duplicate it by cloning it as a whole new object? Then just delete the hood that is attactched to the chassis ..or is that not the case?

I can detach it and keep the normals, but that means i've gotta do it last, and the normals wont be "compatible" with some of the other 3d programs i export it to...

@cran: my suggestion to you is mod the front lights so they look like a double barrel shot gun so have quad lights like this sorta, its a crappy mod to your pic but the lights you have look to much like the chrysler lights, and this is a SHOTGUN, I think it would be kinda sweet

It would be, but it would look like a retarted XJ Jaguar front welded to 300C! Maybe to give it that look, i'll just put two circular lights inside that

I decided to have a go at modeling a car again, I will try to put it in GTA when it's done.

I think the bumper is too detailed... But a GTA one doesn't fit on it.

 

EDIT: Oops, it's an Opel Astra by the way. (I know the car is ugly as f*ck. )

Thanks for all the comments. I'm gonna use an existing SA engine, use SA textures, and I will modify an SA car interior if I can't make one myself.

 

@Roadrunner: Dank je, man/Thank you, man.

 

Here's a little update, engine bay and trunk made. (I don't know how either one of them looks, so I just made them look like I thought they would fit in well.)

Trunk = wrong. The thing lifts up like a standard saloon boot, or is the pic as it is to show that the damn trunk is there, but so that the lid is also visible?
