simplyunkillable
you have real talent. a lot of the modders on here would either make it omega hi-poly to get the same shape, or create a box with wheels. is it carcols? because those stripes arn't polyies....... AZSupraT
Update on the BMW. I have finished most of the bonnet finished, but I still need to complete much more of the car. I have gotten rid of the door you saw in the previous picture. It's currently at 1104 tris.
Burner
Bonsaijodelfisch: What are your models rendered in? The wireframe shot looks like a shot from zmod. Nice cars BTW. You got a site or a place with more of your work? AZSupraT: I'm just curious as to why you model the car like that. You have the front fender already done and extruded, with the rest of the side to do. Isn't it dificult to get the rest of the side to line up with the already extruded fender just right? It just seems it would be a major pain to have it partly done, create another part, and have to line it up with that than just extruding it all together at once when the entire side is finished. And it's not just you, ALOT of modelers model this way.... Just...why? Edited September 26, 2006 by Burner
AZSupraT
I'm guessing it's personal preference. @Bonsaijodelfisch: I've seen those around. They look awesome, great job! I am for sure downloading the Shelby.
Burner
I'm not a fan of posting alot of updates on a car, but this one is taking a while. Here it sits currently. I didn't have time to model the interior tonight, so I did the textures since they are faster to do. The tex aren't finished, but are close. All I lack is the logos and bits of interior. Polycount is 6927. Was over 7000 but I found a duplicate part..

Picolini
Please please please please Burner, let some one put that in game the second you get it done! It's amazing! I love it... if for some insane reason you can't get anyone else to put that in game, ask me right away, I'm all over it Awesome model, textures are perfect, great car! zombieboy
That car would rule the road in SA:MP seriously I think it would because it's the best mod I have seen so far and others might even agree with me for once in a while
Picolini
I think they would agree that your last sentence didn't make much sense like everything else you say. But from what I gathered, I do agree it would be a great mod. I don't know about MP, don't have time to waste on that. It would be a great mod period. You got a site or a place with more of your work? it is i model in zmod2 and render in 3dsmax (vray). the only other work of me that you could find is a 63corvette in race and classic style, either on gta-action.com or somewhere on gtagarage.com BTW great challenger there with marvellous textures, you model in zmod too? Cran.
@Cran, you're using zmod right?Well if it's Zmod2, you change the spec settings in Materials Editor under Extensions. Click on the specular highlight, make sure the box is ticked, and you should see the slider bar with a numbcer below that white box. Here's a pic showing it. Dunno about zmod1, but my guess is it's similar. I found it before while I was fixing other goodies Zmod2 just for getting sh*t ingame. Another question, I want to add some extra things to the door, so what's the equivilent as uniteselect in zmod2?
fuckindumass
Select all objects you are going to attach in object mode, make sure you are not in selected mode, then use modify/attach. The last object you click on will keep it's name and axis. EDIT: @ BURNER I am currently making a lot of sacrifices to position myself to acquire one of those Challengers if/when they are released. It will look so sweet parked next to my Sebring ragtop. So of course, as a longtime Chrysler fanboy, I wish to see VC and SA versions of your model released. I don't care how long it takes, I just want it to happen Edited September 27, 2006 by fuckindumass

Tchuck
Got some work done on the rear, it's getting harder now: And the front: @picolini: brendan has the file, the car was about done when I sent it to him, the exterior that is, so all that's left is the interior and engine, which he likes to do
