Yeah! Thanks, I always wanted to see that car ingame. I even started modeling myself to make that van, but i`m still working on a tutorial based version car. I`m very happy with it, cause i could never make such a nice model. Yeah, mabey about a view years. colgate.gif

Sweet job cactus on the mini as I call it and in real life I doubt u could get it down stairs or whatever in the second picture.

What an informative post. Great.

 

Anyway, to make this post useful; My hilux is good, but as per usual unless I finish a project quickly I get sidetracked, so you might see me "ditching" the hilux for a while to do something more important to me: a 1985 Econoline just like the real life one that my parents own.

 

Hilux will still be finished eventually though.

heyho folks

flashg - thats awsome on the low poly van and the texturing wow looks like a real one well done - will it look this good ingame or is it just for the render ?? im not being sarci dozingoff.gif

 

i try to make an old hillman avenger here- only problem i cant find the blueprints for it if anyone has seen them around please pm me the link here where im at the now

Awesome van Flashg, looks great.

 

@Junox, looks pretty good. But you model so oddly, with all those patches here and there. Doesn't make sense to me, but whatever works I guess.

to be honest, the new stinger looks more like a banshee hardtop than a stinger, particually with the shape of the front,and the stripe. the back looks a bit of a deluxo.

 

it's good, no doubt, but it just seems more like a viper gt-rs than a porsche boxter.

Yeah, if it wasn't for the front lights, I wouldn't have said Stinger at all.

 

Whatever it's called, it's sh*t cool. I like the tail end. Reminds me a bit of a 360, mixed with some more oldschool classic muscle smile.gif

FlashG & Monitor, u both rox my sox... awesome work... its artists like u two that make me keep browsing this thread with such regularity... love ya work.

 

Junox, love the escort... but those missing triangles.. can I suggest you highlight them in vertex select mode (while looking at them from the other side of the car with half the mesh hidden) I reckon what you'll find is that they're 'flipped normals', and that by using the 'flip vertex' or some similar function, you will be able to have them facing the right way, thus no holes... I had this problem on a lot of the planes I converted.

hehehe. sweet. although, i think it would have looked good with the VC bodytexture and SA reflectionmap.

I'd have said more like old Aston Martin Vantage tounge.gif.

 

Does look gorgeous tho mon, you soo gotta release your cars some day.

lol, as i can see everybody is confused. however if you where to see the original car the Stinger was based on, you would see where i was coming from

The Rear, well.. i made that up myself, however the original stinger's rear was based on the boxster yes.

Hmm... GTA_playa... back again I see.

 

Well a tip, it looks like your ref isn't that smooth.

This tip works for zmod2, not sure about zmod1, but my guess is it's similar.

Try selecting all, then turn selected mode on.

Press alt+enter to bring the properites menu up.

Go to Mesh>Vertices>Format and set the UV to 2 and hit apply.

Then with all the parts selected, and selected mode still on go to vertices mode. Then select all again, and right click in a viewport. Click on Mapping...>Edit UV

Then: Edit UV Channel Map#: 2 (the second UV)

And select "From Channel#:" and set it to 1.

Then hit ok and it should smooth it out more.

It should, but I ain't promising anything, I don't usually use Autosphere environments for body materials.
