I remember when i went to france over a ferry. the guy next to us in his home-painted yellow 2cv, was a funny runner so he ended up pushing it into the ferry almost fred flintstone style. Shame you cant emulate the wheel camber when turning to match the real thing
pinky
Decided it was time to pull my finger out and get the cockpit done. The body has been reworked to fit the conopy frame on and open it up for the interiour. Again though I have managed to side track myself, but these lit up instruments are the result so it was worth while. These are veiwed through the tinted glass of the canopy to hopefully show that they are bright enough. I have used it on the nav lights as well seeing as no one dff exporters seem to support omni lighting.
Sylvania
Is that lighting option possible on vehicles?
Mista_G
the body is done, or yeah it looks complete, just need to redo the front window just closed it for the pic ill fix it later. Made the front lights more 3d, as well as I made the back ones, finished the back of the cab, and thats about it for now. I need to add the interior, underbody and engine and then she will be done, then damage her up, col it up do all that other FUN stuff and get her released Mercie will hopefully be back in full gear and help a brother out here lol anyways enjoy! Mark
Loving it, works well. Yay, so handy for jets, as well as other craft. Time to sort out me Typhoon too (I noticed the nav lights don't work on that either, which sucks). I can see this becoming useful on cars too
pinky
Is that lighting option possible on vehicles? It's possible on everything, weapons, all vehicles, clothes and buildings. It would probably be just as easy to use the vehicle lights txd on cars though, it doesnt work on planes so this is how it's done. My way doesnt switch of either, it's on all day round. It's a form of prelighting the vertices in Zmod2, usually used by map and building mod makers, it should be possible in Max somehow too. I'll package a tut with the plane, which should be ready by the end of the week hopefully. Glad you like her Auron, not long till the full version is released. AZSupraT
M'kay. Modeled front lights, but still need model rear lights. Also, a couple of normals to fix. Edited September 11, 2006 by AZSupraT
Cactus
Huzzah! ITs ingame! ever so *slight* problem though... http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d127/cactus57/ingame.jpg I have no idea why, logicly the sideskirt is a differant .dff file so this shouldnt happen! NOS stretchs across a little bit, exhausts dont show up at all, and the sideskirt turns into a big f**kin polygon. Any advice? Still at least its in-game, and by some fluke it worked first time, no crashing from san andreas! And double bonus, even though its a meaty 10k polys, it didnt lag the game with 4 on screen at once. rumpyxxl
Hey hey, I got a little further on my TT. I've finished modeling the body and I've started texturing it. The wheels are just temporary. There form a Camaro I made a while back.
Mista_G
@rumpyxl: I must say from previous work you've displayed, this is by far your best yet. Clean clean clean, the mesh looks flawless, and I quite like the new TT's and you did a excellent job on the mesh! I'm not knocking your other work but you've gone up a level in my books, to bad I haven't lol still stuck with basic ZMOD, keep it up! I look foward to more updates and possible renders
AZSupraT
@Rumpy: That TT is just ..so damn sexy. Please tell me you're going release it for SA.
Cran.
Nice TT, but some spots look like they need a bit of fix0ring, like on the door. Not completely fat and sticks out at one bit @Bumper nice, but didn't you already made teh 2CV?

Mark
Helis suck! lawl. j/k @rumpy, as Cran said, wibblwobbly line on the crease down the car, but good @Cactus: LOL, driving teh building . Not a clue what is doing that, I don't mess with transfender stuff.
flashg
@Cactus I think you're using Max eh? If so reset its XForm and then convert it to editable mesh(or add Edit Mesh modifier). That should do the trick. You can find Reset Xform button from utilitits tab.
Cran.
First mockup with wheels Now to model the rear, grill, interior, engine bay and the rest. Doesn't sound like much!

Cran.
Loving the whees, Cran. Great work Not mine, but they do rule! Whathisname gave them do me for my Andatura. ...i'll never forget what's his name. But anyway, if anyone has the time or wants to make me a nice wheel, these are the ones that would best suit that car. It would be much appricated if anyone did. If anyone does, keep the poly count reasonable.

pinky
Hey pinky you make great jets and planes but have you ever model a helicopter? Not yet but I have a few WW2 era ones that I want to make, I'll get round to them eventually. Nice car so far Cran. Try making the wheels yourself, wheel making is a piece of piss. It's just a lesson in copy rotating objects. You are allready working on the hardest part and doing good, wheels should be no problem and they usually only take a couple of days to fully complete. Cactus
Ah cheers flashg! Not sure if thats what fixed it, but i tried a few things, went through a spot of game-crashing, then have all my normals (which i just spent like 10 hours fixing) get reset, going to a backup, and finally getting it working in-game! The problem with the building-sized sideskirts, was that for some reason the dummy had been scaled to around x100, making the 3d model that appears become scaled! So thats an interesting tip, to make things in transfender fit nicer simply scale the dummy up or down, that way the car can have a unique size to save messing up all the other models (if this was alreayd known, then just ignore my ranting!) I'll return later with some nice pictures hopefuly Anyone have suggestions for a good handling/car stats editor, by the way?
