Dup
there's no "JDM white" if you're looking for the white you usually see on "JDM" hondas, you're probably lookign for championship white.. you could check out some honda sites.. liek honda-tech.org for color chips and all that kinda crap.. that white is too white to be championship white.. it has a very slight bit of a yellow tint to it... and it should be at just a few notches below full luminosity Championship white, that would be the half pearlescent colour. I kinda lightly gradients piss yellow. I hate the colour, like badly cleaned teeth. Unless Pinky is over 25, he'll have to be rich to be driving a Type R on UK roads legally, lol. But I'm sure you meant ingame Nice job on the wheels Pinky, but the rim and tyre could have done with a few more pollies. Looking good y4kuza, keep at it! If you want me to setup a render scene for you or run some off, give me a shout.
Picolini
Yeah, i meant in the game. But why would it cost so much to drive it in the UK? Just wondering, not familar with laws and stuff over there, im just another ignorant american... lol. To keep from spammin this up with offtopic stuff ... heres the side shot of a concept car of my own i've just started workin on. I don't have any 3d shots yet, but maybe later today. Figured i'd post it here since its my only scratch work in a while. The rims are from GGs vette, im sure its ok to use them, hes not around any more. And the engine and suspension are from the hotknife, i might make my own after i finish all the body work...I've reworked it a little since this... pinky
I know pinkys happy, getting closer to drivin a type R around... You better believe it mate. @.59 Reverse: I am well aware of the colour being a TypeR owner and enthusiast myself. You will find that if I had swapped the whites round between the wheels and the car body it would have been pretty much more accurate to real thing, having seen DC5 Integras with it. Never seen a JDM Civic for real yet though. It was only a quick mess around to for Yakuza's benefit and not really intended for use. I was just refering to it as JDM white as it is only available on Japans TypeR's, it's only used on lower spec Civics over here. The wheels are Zmod created so luminosity means diddly squat to me unfortunatly, possibly similar to the emmisive setting, but I think I get your jist. Getting those whites was enough of a piss about and I don't think I will be doing it again in a hurry, although I think I have achieved perfect Ford Diamond White, might have to make a Sierra now. @Dup: I thought I was going overboard with 21 sides as well.lol. Owning a Civic isn't that dear anymore, good second hand prices for them now. The petrol is expensive though, if like me you need a crow bar to get your arse out the driving seat. Racing it at Crail on Sunday if the weather holds out, more petrol gone, it's not grudged however. Edited April 22, 2006 by pinky

If you care to read the rules hes broken atleast 3 rules already. Plus the comp hasnt started yet either, so its a no entry.
Picolini
Yeah, i'd take away the GTA mesh parts, but it says no concepts, so takes me out automatically. Oh wel... i probably wouldn't be able to finish it in two weeks anyways. But I am starting on a real car, its not the best... but i may try to enter it if i get done...better get to work! @pinky, I've used like at least 10 cars as a reference for ideas, but that was one of them. The competition starts in 2 weeks. The topic there is to warn people of it happening so people can prepare etc. You will have 4 weeks to complete the model for the competition. Nice concept you have there though. Keep up the scratch work. You should give it Frog eyes and a tongue @ Pinky - Track days eh? A lad where I used to work had a new red Type R. The lengths he pulled ayway from me on the M6 on the way home was just insane. I Could get half a lengh ahead in 1st though, lol. 1.4 powah. He had no balls though. He was scared of it and I'd be miles ahead of him. That and he couldn't afford to drive it fast, back to point of petrol there heh. I'm swapping my 206 for a bike instead I think. Fast, economical and bags of fun. Cheaper to run that my 206, that's for sure.
pinky
Bikes, if its a 600 or above will still only give around 40 MPG, although at warp speed right enough. It's just a quarter mile event I am going too, not really suited to front wheel drive but there are a lot of Scotland fastest Civics going so it should be interesting. Mine isn't among the fastest in case you wonder, just lightly tuned. Back on topic: Yeh, slap a Kermit face on it for a laugh. On a serious note, maybe a stainless mesh grill on the front perhaps, lights hidden behind it.

Dup
Freestyle modelling ftw! I hardly use prints to be honest, they make it harder to model for me as they never perfectly line up. I sometimes just use a side print then freestyle it. Make sure you model the GTE (which you are) and also make the obligatory Ironing board special I see you're using chamfers etc, good stuff! pinky
^^ Lush render dude Zomg, Guess the car: -M57 Where are the MaxPower stickers, big sub and not to forget 4" tailpipe. Novas in GTASA yee haw, Chavin' it up. Do we get a free Burberry cap with the car? I love it man, I was looking at thinking, nah surely not a Nova. Get a Corsa in there too for good measure. @Dup: I agree on the Freestyle modelling part, that Argo I made a while back was from the companies own brochure prints and they turned out to be FA like the real thing. Don't trust the prints people, use ref pics to gide you as well. Remember that the pics have president too, they are from the real thing after all. Mista_G
haven't posted around here much nore have I done much modeling due to work starting again for the season, but this is a WIP, concept van I came up with. It also comes with a trailer, some of you might remember awhile back i did a mod with the huntley, and I got bored of it beause it was too sqaure and not scratch made so I decided to do somthing more futuristic, tunerish, its a van. To appeal more to younger people rather then it being a soccer mom van so ill have it all tricked out with a system as I usually do with most of my tuner cars, sept this will be a system that is meant to fit, I guess you can say its sorta like a SCION XB in a way. anyways heres 2 quick renders of the front and back of it, enjoy! thanks image shack IMAGE SHACK! stretch.
Well, this is my first car model, well, my first 3d modelling attempt with anything resembling curves and the first time I've used zMod, so, bear this in mind. And it's me just learning the ropes of zMod for the up coming competition, so bear in mind this isn't near the finished model or is it the competition one. Well, anyways here it is. and It's loosely based off the Saab-Lancia A112/600 GTE Any criticisms will be gladly received!

Suction Testicle Man
@ Mon: The headlights pretty much line up with the arrow shape of the front grill - the different headlight angle you have going on is just an illusion Novas seem capable of producing. Rest looks great though. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.

Dup
On STMs reference you have the GTE model with the bigger bumpers and the grille which sticks out a cm or so from the lights. You are on my MSN I think. I'm a little busy at the mo. Have you grasped the unwrapping methog and made a flat wire of your mesh using that tutorial. When you've done that, It's really really simple!
