uhhh.... dude? i didn't. the only thng off the SA sentinel is the textures. this is more than a retexure for the VC, it's actually over 5 times the poly count.

Sorry, but that car looks just as crappy as before, 5k+ or not. It doesn't even look to be 5k+ in that pic either...

And that interior texture you put on... I just dont get it. It looks like a picture of a stack of hay tiled really really small, and int he trunk it's just smeared all over the place. And I would suggest filling in the engine bay a bit more, it looks too open.

 

@GTAuron, nice wires, it doesn't look uneccessarily high poly, they all look nicely placed and as if they suit a purpose. If anything I think you could have added a few rows and columns in some spots, but the difference would be negligible. Keep it up, can't wait to see how the whole thing turns out wink.gif

not really. the interior texture is actually SA stock, recoloured to look like cloth. as for the engine bay, you can't expect a brit saloon from the 60's to be fitted with a big block V8. the engine in there is actually huge compared to a real brit 4-cyl unit.

Richard. Calm down. Peoples just giving you their opinions on your work. I admit, the model doesnt look all that great. Its the styling I guess. The textures on the seats look like their Tiled.

 

You've got to take in consideration, when these other guys started out there work wasn't up to par with the rest and they have worked over the years and worked on improving there stuff. So don't take all this stuff serious.

 

 

Well myself haven't posted anything Ive done in a very long time.

 

These first two models which are a Older Toyota and a Scion xB are free models Ive found. Ive made some small changes on them. Re-worked some of the meshes and added my own Styling to them. Then theirs the frame biggrin.gif.

 

The Yota, Since its a truck I'm naturally going to body drop it. tounge2.gif

The Frame. I Designed this frame myself. Ive looked at other bridging work my buddies has done on Real Body Drops and I came up with one I wanted to do if I ever owned a truck.

First, when you ignore something even stating you are ignoring it isn't ignoring it, and giving a comment on my comment definitely isn't ignoring it.

 

As for the interior texture, could you show us what the image looks like? It really looks like it's tiled horribly small. And it does NOT look like cloth, it's my opinion but I'm sure others agree.

 

And the engine comment, filling it in doesn't mean adding a bigger engine, I'm talking about adding engine parts, like a battery, tanks, etc etc.

 

Now the whole "unless a car has ten billion polys, or is made by a "respected" member, everybody acts like it's really sh*t." is completely wrong. I was stating your car doesn't look as if it has 5K because it still looks very low poly, not that theres anything wrong with it looking so, but that you must have hidden them some where they aren't needed because it still looks so low poly. 10 billion is ridiculous, I know (or at least hope) you were just joking but poly count doesn't mean sh*t most of the time, it's the usage which you don't seem too have too good of a grasp of if that car somehow has 5k+.

 

And the whole respected member thing, they are respected because they do nice quality work. So if you do sh*t, we'll tell you it's sh*t. Of course, as I tried above to be nice® about it, while blunt, it's just my opinion on your work as I'm sure most others share.

 

I apologize for the offtopic post guys... but seriously, richard just can't take serious crit on his work so I had to go and post this to defend my crit on it.

wrong mate~

 

either you've used that extra polybaggage wisely on your model, we FAIL to see how 5x polycount is spent anywhere other than the obvious underbody/engine/steering wheel detail...

 

unless you mean adding the details from an SA car into a VC car is in itself worth 5x in polycount than the VC model itself~

 

and the VC sentinel really showed off it's blockiness compared to the more refined SA model

 

and interior texture looks bland and dull...

 

ah well, keep going forward~ you did good with the charger, I suggest you work more on making better models and progress forward rather than backwards... rampage_ani.gif

the car is a lot shorter in length, the rear window is at a different angle, etc.

 

@irloading on the blocky sentinel comment: barring 3d engine, i wouldn't say the sa sent is more "refined", it just has more curves. compare an 84 with a 92 BMW in real life.

Well, anyways, i started yesterday morning on the Blista from GTA 3. I had much work on it. The left and right front wings where bitching. Had to attach then, cut and delete some poly's. Then needed to weld the stuff, so it fits. Then i made a glass efore the lights (Yes, those are Paroxum's textures. I'm releasing without). Then i extruted the engine bay and putted an engine in it. Also i used the Rancher grill and added some stuff in the interiour.

Still need to fix 2 little things:

*The braked window texture wont show up (i think i mapped the alpha on it or something)

*The front window wont crack (i think thats in issue of the original col)

*San Andreas reflection needs to be mapped.

Man you must add specular on your rims and engine . use 80 then the specular will be smoothed in game. (use 70 for prim part)

paroxum's textures where did you heard this ? he took the HQLM V2 this mod was unlcuded in Gostown , no credits for russians(in 1st release)

@Jos, I like the idea, but I think it's way too long to be a wagon, looks more like a limo.

You should move the rear seats up so the front part is just at the door frame, then the rear end of the rear door frame should meet just as the front of the seat backs. Kinda hard to explain, so heres a picture.

Sorry mate, but this is for previews of vehicle modifications, not photoshopped pictures. And don't even tell me you modeled that trailer then attached it, it's increadibly obvious you just attached it using photoshop.

Hey folks! Made a Blade mod... Kinda Do-it-yourself-because-it's-lame mod, but anyways it's mine tounge.gif So here's the feats:

@cran: hte reason why i didn't use the SA sentinel is because they are compleately different cars. the SA one borrows some styling cues from the vice one, but that's it.

There's a couple of differences on the front, and the rest of it is just more detailed. It's a stupid idea to try and improve an old VC model when there's an updated SA model. Face the facts.

 

@jos116 the length of the front doors needs to be cut down. Since the Blista Compact was a 2 door hatchback/coupe, the doors are significantly longer than any 4 door car's front doors.

@vinnygouveia I quite like that, good work.
