Frag.
Ok, so i've made this layout for my friend's brother's band. They are a kind of grungey type band, so I tried to make a grungey type layout. There are a few muck-ups in the layout, like the small bars seperating the links, the pipe drain, and the content area (kind of), but I was wondering if the rest looked all right. Feed back would be most welcome, thanks. Edited February 26, 2006 by Frag.
Ottae
I like the style, very nicely done. But the Navigation bar is quite difficult to read, and the main function for a navigation bar is accesibility, so it must be easily readable as that's it's main function. Good work though, I like it
Frag.
Yeah, you're right. Any idea how I could make the text more readable? Get a different font, or make the pipe bigger?
gkl
Hehe, I used to really like this kind of syle back when I started using Photoshop. Ah, the good ol days, I really miss the time. But anyways. In my humble opinion you should start over. The font is hard to read and it doesn't really go well together with the whole grunge/sewer theme. And I don't think you should use aything that's just simply overlayed on a metal surface. The extremely thick shadows look pretty bad too. The layout itself feels on one hand very empty (the top has a bit of random placed text and some bars) but on the other - quite "heavy". Probably because of the big chunks of metal. The reflections/shine on the very top pipe look extremely dull. Particulary in the middle area. You shouldn't use clean, straight lines in a grunge-themed work (the one in contents area).
