Logic3
Pre-ordered this game, must say, it looks and sounds fantatstic, I simpy can't wait For anyone familiar with the popular UT2k3/2k4 mod Red Orchestra, you probably know of this already. Red Orchestra is the only WWII Eastern Front FPS that I am aware of, and it is of exceptionally high quality. It is a realism shooter with: -no crosshairs -3d ironsights -bullet drop -ballistics-based damage -prone -great artillery system with radios and spotters -realistic vehicles with armor penetration and internal components modeled -magazines (keeps track of the number of bullets in each magazine when you switch them) -manual bolting for the bolt-action rifles -limited weapon classes (so no svt40 vs g43 games), and fantastic art. This mod won Nvidia's UT contest and recieved a copious amount of money plus the license to the UE2.5 engine (and possibly the next one too). Well now, it is being made into a full-fledged stand alone (mostly multiplayer for now) game by the same mod team, which is now a software company. It is due to be released in early March. It is going to be released on Steam and in stores. New features include: -leaning -propping your weapons on ledges and objects -totally revolutionary movement system including crouched sprinting, standing sprinting, diving, and more. There are also weapons being added (bringing the number to 28) and vehicles being added (for a total of 14). The graphics are being revamped and the animations are being completely redone- they look amazing now. The animations were a weak point of the mod; no more. Lastly, this game will actually run better than the mod- so if you could run modded ut2k4, you will run this without a problem. This is the first game in a while that has excited me. I CAN'T WAIT !!!!
Dublo 7
It actually does look very, very good. It's built on the Unreal engine, so that's a plus. I just brought DoD source the other day and some of the players are going on about this game. I think I will check it out abit later on. I'll see how successful it is online before I commit to buying it.
Logic3
Yeah, I think there's gonna be a demo for people not entirely sure, but most people who've played the old mod will probably get it with no second thoughts
