sportsfreak1989s
I have been through an entire list 2 or 3 times, did the re-load game thing just incase one of them was supposebly missing but still no package. Any advice or help will be much apreciated. Thanks.
Justin
Only thing to do is to go through each package one more time. If you're on PC however, you can utilize Demarest's Code Tools, in particular, Shatterstorm. That is, if you're willing to pretty much cheat. It'll collect all the packages for you. Search the Vice City forums for topics similar to yours. There's a few hidden packages that aren't always as easy to find as the others. [EDIT] Read this. It seems that the package behind Phil's right near the water and the package behind the Malibu are rather common oversights and notorious for being hard to find. Demarest
I've been urged recently to make a walkthrough for VC not unlike my GTA3 one. It would require a different format, but I'm up to it. If only as a memorial. Mayhaps I should start with a packages map.
Justin
That'd be cool. Helpful resource for those of us with shoddy memories like myself. And as you said, somewhat of a memorial. But it would be kinda weird, too. I've always seen you as the GTA3 guy. Better knowledge than most on VC, but unmatchable when it comes to GTA3. If you're willing to sacrifice your image as the GTA3 guy, then go for it. But I don't know... tfads.com has always been to me a GTA3 place... Your call though. I'd certainly enjoy watching the progress (if you're intending on hosting the WIP), and I could possibly help out if you're willing to allow it to be more than a one-man show. syrdax
Also there are lots of them that you have to fly a helicopter to reach them. There are lots of maps with very detailed positions around.
Demarest
Oh I'll be the first to admit that there are those that surpass me in the VC department. I've only played VC to 100% about 5 times and completed storyline an additional 5-6 times. I've played GTA3 to 100% some 20 times at least, plus storyline another 20 times or so. I don't think most people realize how long I had to run SNP VC before I even felt capable of writing Timetwister VC. Whereas the original for GTA3 was written while I was still wet behind the ears as a coder. It was easy because I already understood all I was reading because I had played the game so many times. Though I think we mean different things when we say I'd be doing it as a memorial

Another thing you can do to see if you are looking in the wrong spot for one is to start a brand new game and "sneak" to the 2nd island right away... Dem's Ultimate start to VC -- http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=126628 is used by most people-- you can grab the police heli down town to fly around and collect them fairly fast-- as you collect each one, mark them off-- if you come to one you can't find where you "think" you checked before, that is likely the one you were not finding... look harder for it and you will probably find it (thats how I found the 2 in the post Fuzzy linked you to). Then go back to your save game and check. When you get to the 2nd island, be sure to buy and save at the Skumhole shack so you don't have to sneak across again if you die or something. YOu will need a $1000 so do some unique jumps to make some quick money... Demarest
Skumole's great because on load, you can just exit stage north and bam! You're at the foot of the Police Maverick. I just wait until I've collected 10 packags to buy it.
banxter667
If you'd like to upload your savegame to somewhere, I'll dl it and find your package for you, and I'll even let you know which one it was. I've had the package/rampage locations for VC and III memorized for years...

sportsfreak1989s
One problem, I am playing it on PS2. Is there a way I can still upload it? What about that Gameshark Jumpdrive thing? Will that work for uploading it?
banxter667
Well, I don't have a PS2 anymore, so that would be a major roadblock, sorry... @Demarest: I don't know them by number, I just know them by location, sometimes I miss one and have to go thru the rolodex in my head and figure out where it is, but I can get all 100 packages every time I start a game on VC, even though I have to use a copter to get the one behind the "riot" building and your video for the ultimate vice start is a good trick, personally, I push a bus in the water next to where cortez's boat is, jump on the bus, walk past the gate and then jump on the pier. It's a lot simpler than trying to line up that jump in the movie studio
Demarest
It's a lot simpler than trying to line up that jump in the movie studio I do believe that to be a matter of opinion. I find this quite easy. Line up with water tower... ...make sure front end is lined up with white box... ...works every time...
sportsfreak1989s
Well thanks for the help anyways guys. I figured I might as well start a new game since it's been a while since I followed the story and all... Thanks though. Maybe I can go through and find it ONE DAY lol.
