thugofliberty
hi everyone. I'm 18 years old. I have a few questions about motor cycles. I have about 3k that I can spend on a motor cycle, since I just can't deal with having rules on my parents' car. So... I was wondering... 1. Is it true that motor cycle insurance is insanely high for new riders at 18-19 years of age? 2. Hmm... I have only 3k... I've been looking around ebaymotors and stuff but can I get a motor cycle cruiser type (not the cop ones) for 3k somewhere? 3. I live in Baltimore, Maryland, and I went to the website for the MVA but it's kinda confusing. Can I apply for a license without having to go to riding school because I'm 18 and above? any help with those questions would be greatly appreciated. fuckindumass
1. YES and the reason is you will likely get into a wheel chair or casket or nursing home after getting on a motorcycle. Even with bright lights and no mufflers people will still force you out of your lane, pull out in front of you etc. Combine that with the poor judgement of a spring chicken, and you get photo ops for bangedup.com 2. If you want a Harley, 3k ain't enough. Jap stuff can be had for even less. 3. Don't know, I live in a different state. Take a rider course. Motorcycles are extremely dangerous. They take a lot of effort to ride safely. You may prefer your parents rules in the long run. I love my bike. Shiny side up!
