myke323
ok, these last gang territory missions are driving me nuts... i'm having a very hard time surviving them... any secrets? i've just been shooting away with an m4 (i think it is) without much luck... i was thinking of maybe grabbing some of the heavier artillary up at toreno's ranch, but not sure if it'll help... i just want to hurry up and finish the main storyline missions so i can go back and complete all the other side mission.. quartet1977
yes, get yourself to toreno's and max out your minigun ammo, running back and forth from house to save icon. you'll have 10,000 rounds or more, which should be enough to gain at least the 35% gang territory required to unlock the last mission. don't forget to save your game frequently as you take back territory. that way, if you somehow get killed, you won't lose your weapons and have to go all the way back to toreno's. the minigun is also helpful for los desperados and end of the line, but using it sometimes feels like cheating. you waste everybody so easily. Mxyzptlk
There's lots of tips and hints around the forum, here's the main Gang Territtory topic. Get hitman level for guns, use molotovs, etc etc.... Edit: Minigun is overkill to me.... not worth the trouble of picking up and stocking ammo... I never needed it or wanted it really. pdescobar
Edit: Minigun is overkill to me.... not worth the trouble of picking up and stocking ammo... I never needed it or wanted it really. Oh, but it's soooooo fun to use the minigun to just lay waste to stuff. I just use a bulletproof car and lots of drive-bys to do all the gang wars since I collect them through the game. Very cheap and very effective. Occaisionally I'll jump out and use the minigun though. The minigun's not overkill; using a Rhino is overkill. crazyanurag
"Grove 4 Life" shouldn't be much of a problem...you have to have full armour and it helps if you've maxed out your health...at all times, you've gotta protect Sweet, and take care to see that his health bar doesn't diminish, or that he's not jumped from behind. you should secure at least 35% of the territory in Los Santos (ie. 19 territories) before going on with the missions, because it'll soon be hard to work the "Gang Wars" mechanic...for these wars you need plenty of ammo (the M4 you're using is highly recommended) and armour, though the pickups during the wars should help you out...heavy weapons, however can easily take out a whole army of Ballas/Vagos, and the one i like best here is the heat-seeking rocket launcher(RPG). you could also recruit some homies to help you out...depending on your respect level, you should be able to recruit around four or five of them...so even if they don't help take out the enemy, let them tag along, if only to offer multiple targets and disperse some of the fire away from you. also, don't waste any time on the car which spawns and apparently does drive-by's...unless you come into its path to make it run you over, it can't hurt you...so concentrate on the foot-soldiers...if you're looking to secure all available gang territory, you should first take over "Temple", "Jefferson Motel" and "Los Flores" and then spread out. hope this helps!
