Jimmay!
She could use a little more sun! Need a little help for a noob here, fellas. What I want: I'm trying to add a greater variety of peds for a custom mission I'm writing. I'm not wanting to do any modelling, but rather I'm just trying to add different skins to pre-existing models, but with different names. Let's say for example, I am trying to add another beach girl, except with a polka-dot bikini, instead of a blue bikini. What I did: I found the .dff and .txd of a ped that I wanted to copy (HFYBE). I extracted and then renamed the .dff and .txd with a brand new name (BIKIA). I entered that name (with stats) in the default.ide file (actually, I replaced the name of a ped I won't use). I changed the pedgrp.dat file to make the ped show up somewhere. I used GTA Mod Installer to load the .dff and .txd. I can see in TXD Workshop that the .txd did actually load into the .img file. What I got: I got the right model in the right place, but no texture. I could change my custom mission to be an "attack of the mummies" mod, but I would rather stick with my original idea. I have already changed the skins on many models already without any problem, so I figure I am doing something wrong by trying to have "new" models (really, just new model names). I don't want to continue to replace skins, I would rather have all that are there, as well as new ones for variety. Make sense? I promise I have read through many of the tutorials on this site, but perhaps I just overlooked something. Cheers, Jimmy
