DuPz0r
I've been making this map the past thew hours. Now i feel its complete. Its based on the gta-europe rumour flying around. Comment on it, and rate it if you want.
K^2
It's an interesting concept, but I think that if GTA4 is Europe based, it would have a more open areas between cities. Also, you could have been a little more creative with names. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns. Otter
I agree as far as the names go - they're pretty weak. The map, on the other hand, is pretty neat. Although.... are there seriously rumours of GTA Europe? That would be an incredible undertaking. Also, I think you could add some variety to your flora, there. Furthermore, you just know they'd include Venice. GTA has been begging for more boating.
K^2
I have never really enjoyed boats in GTA, but you're still right about Venice. In fact, it would be more likely that the game would have Venice and not Rome. As for the GTA Europe rumor, it is a rumor based on very little actual information. Nobody really knows, but it seems reasonable enough. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns. Otter
If there's one thing that can be said about Rockstar, it's that they're incredibly bold. However, Europe? That's beyond bold - to keep the same production value as San Andreas - which we can only assume that they'll be upgrading - the art budget for this game is going to be astronomical! Will Wright goes micro, Houser hires every artist in Scotland. Here's to hoping. Anyhow - this is slightly off topic. Dup - keep at it! Fuel my withering imagination. Guybrush Threepwood
Come back when it has notamsterdam on it.
Medallion Man
London should be bigger, in reality it is (by some distance) the biggest of the cities on your map. 609 square miles. Moscow would be the second biggest at 417 sq miles. Berlin is 'only' 344 square miles, much smaller than London. And I agree with Guybrush_Threepwood, it needs to be Amsterdamaged up. Good work with the all the GTA: Europe promo material, anywho.
DuPz0r
Yeah, i didnt really know the proportions of the cities that well, so i just slapped them on any old size. I doubt R* would really make the whole cities inch perfect, they'll stick with they're own shaped, and noticable landmarks tbh. anyway, thanks for you comments . king surfer
I really like the positions and shapes of the various islands. It's an interesting layout. Although if you're going for geographically accuracy, the protruding headland and enclosed sea in D6 are highly unlikey in real life. Apart from that, good job. K^2
But when where the GTA's map reflective of geographical locations of cities that were represented? Does SA's LS + SF look anything like California? Now that I think about it, though, the islands remind me of the world map mirrored. Moscow = North America. Rome = South America. Berlin is Europe, with Asia to the left and Aftrica bellow it. The remaining two islands together make up Australia. Anyone else see it? Is it coincidental? jimmy.
It's decent, thought the names do suck for the most part. Give it a more imaginative name than GTAIV, and someone might think it's real.
