How do I get a firetruck?!

Here's the deal. I started the game over, so I'm in San Fierro right now. I went by the fire department just south of CJ's garage, and there's the firetruck with the damn ladder. That's not the one I want. I blew it up and came back, same thing there. I did this several times. I even went up to the window of one of the unfinished buildings on the construction site and blew up NUMEROUS cars. There was fire all up and down the street, yet no firetruck came.

 

I'm looking to do the firefighter missions, but I'm not able to acquire the truck! Any tips?

You have a 50/50 shot in SF of getting the truck with the water cannon at the firehouse. Keep at it and you'll eventually get one. As for getting the AI truck to come, I find molotovs work much more reliably than simply blowing up cars, but once again there is a random factor. If your luck is that bad, go back to LS and take the one from the fire station by the skate park.
