K^2
Why are there a UK bus, a mosque, and some building done in the style of Ancient Greece (though, obviously much more recent) in the same picture? Edit: And if I am not misstaken the only countries in Europe that are muslim are Turkey and one of the countries that used to be a part of Yugoslavia. Actually, I'm not even sure about the later. Jack_Knife
Is that Mohammed? Die, infidel! GTA4 was set in Miami Actually, GTA4 was in New York City. GTA1 GTA London GTA2 GTA3 London, being an expansion pack and all, doesn't count. DuPz0r
If gt4 is set in europe, london is bound to be one of the cities. And london has more muslims then where ever muslims originated from...

Ottae
ACTUALLY no one knows where GTA4 will be set. GTA1 GTA2 GTA3 -Vice City -San Andreas GTA4 GTA4 hasn't been released yet, hence this Forum It's great! You can tell it's come from Kenji, but what you've added looks great. Demarest
You guys must've missed the smiley. Oh well. IF R* would like to release GTA6 and call it GTA4 to make it appear fresher, it's their game to name. Meanwhile, the industry has always maintained the different engine means different volume. London REQUIRED the GTA disc, so you know it's an expansion pack. VC's engine on the other hand was vastly different that GTA3's. I pioneered the LC effort, so I have much first hand experience myself and with others that have touched base on the many differences. It was just assumed that R* (intelligently) starting naming the games after cities instead of numbers to maintain freshness. Who want to be playing a game with "volume 22" after it? Ottae
I agree, I thought it was silly them calling it GTA4 as there is no way that Vice City and SA can be expansions, but it's R*'s word, not mine Anyway, this isn't a GTA4 forum!

Guybrush Threepwood
Yeah, so shut the f*ck up about it, hypocrite. I've already said "it's funny because it's true" today. So I won't say it again. Damn those one-time-maximums. The artwork looks nice, but it gives off a low-quality feel.
Mike_Toreno
Looks alright. What program did you use to make it? I'm presuming Flash. At least that's what I use to draw game characters and such.
DuPz0r
Nah, i used paintshop pro 9. pretty much does the same thing as photoshop.

GTA3, VC, and SA share a lot of the story and they are expanding on the 3 cities of the original GTA. These 3 games just go together, whatever else you might say about them. The engines don't look like total re-writes to me either. It seems more like GTA3's engine has been expanded to add new features and improve performance. Even expanded role of streaming in SA's engine would not necessaraly warant major changes in anything but the memory management. GTA4, on the other hand, is a brand new engine written for an entirely different platform to handle a very different kind of enviorment. It will be the biggest change since GTA went 3D, so it makes perfect sense to reffer to it as GTA4 and not GTA6 or 7. Medallion Man
Why are there a UK bus, a mosque, and some building done in the style of Ancient Greece (though, obviously much more recent) in the same picture? Probably because that "building done in the style of Ancient Greece (though, obviously much more recent)" is the Bank of England, which is in London and as such has "UK buses" passing in front of it on a fairly frequent basis (unless you happen to be waiting for one, of course). Also: London is home to quite fair few mosques and a large number of Muslims, so my guess would be that the illustrator was going for a representation of Londons' inherent physical and cultural heterogeneity (when he played around with that Kenji image in PS...). London Central Mosque, (London, England).
K^2
Thanks, Medalion Man. It makes much more sense this way. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
Guybrush Threepwood
Completely off-topic: That building was also in Midtown Madness 2. I hated it because I kept crashing into the small concrete pillars at the front of the building when trying to cut corners. [on-topic]
