Ok, this is mainly because the other topic I made became flooded with UK can't rap, USA are better. Please none of that now...(even though the main point of this is to show UK murked the US rappers CLEARLY this time).

 

If you don't know Mic Assassin is from South East London, he went overseas to battle American street rappers.

 

3 more battles have been filmed in the States, proper battles, and, no suprise, after having to adapt his lyrics for US rappers to understand, he won all 3 battles, even by fan vote.

 

I think they made an agreement to not have any of their cheerleaders present, since the US rappers brang loads of people before and Mic Assassin had no one. So now they only brang a few people and one came alone.

 

Best to right click and save, these battles are longer than the previous ones, they are a lot better.

That guy is very repetitive, as was stated before. By the end of those videos, I was getting sick of him. He does have some funny rhymes once in a while, but it's mixed in with him saying "I'm about to", "Spit flows", and other unnecessary sh*t. Also, pretty much everything he says is "This guy looks like _____." The way he also bobs around is also pretty annoying. He definitely beat that 2nd guy, who was trying to be too poetic, but lost against the others.

I just got done watching the third battle, and the guy f*cking sucks. He's got no flow, he uses a simple a/b rymescheme for far too many lines in each bar, and just about every punchline he tries to pull is predictable and repetitive. I don't know why you think he's so great. Maybe you shoul explain that

 

Umm, wathced the second battle... The guy with the pink shirt wasn't fast or anything, but he kept a consistent flow, and an original rhyme pattern. Whereas the guy from the UK just start spitting a verbal onslaught as rapid as possible, not giving himself time to think of any original rhymes or lines. I mean, you have to notice how often this guy repeats not only the same rhymes, but the same exact punchlines. He must've mentioned vaseline in this one like 30 times.

 

Datin wasn't very good, but he was still alot better than the guy from the UK. I mean, what in the f*ck do you find so great about him? I don't know if this is a UK vs. US thing, but I've heard much better come out of the UK than that guy.

Dude, this guy is clearly crap. To say, even remotely, that the guy can freestyle, is f*cking ridiculous. Maybe he's better when writing, I don't know, but he's f*cking HORRIBLE at freestyling. He cannot hold a flow, he recycles punches, and he's just sloppy... Did you notice how often he stumbled on his speech?

Street battles ain't about flow, it's about who says the things that make you laugh at the other person, now I honestly don't see why you are all hating THIS much, I mean, give man a chance, you can even see where the judge is laughing , even the friend watching laugh discreetly and come of the camera when they want to laugh at their friend getting beaten.

 

The 2nd man he faced is a perfect example of how people here are blatantly one sided, he is pure DOG CRAP at rapping, you say how he started verbally abusing him giving the man no chance to think of anything? Is that the best you can say for him SagaciousKJB? The man is a fool who clearly didn't know what he was getting himself into, street battling ain't about calm poetry and happy crackhead voices, this ain't a bloody walk in the park, the man got what he deserved. Joker. This was a handicap match I think, the man thinks he is Jay Z.

Nobody has taken offense to the WTC comments, can't remember if he even made any. I don't care about what he's saying about the World Trade Center or anything, and I wasn't rooting for the New York people, either. They're cocky wannabe thugs, and that one guy even looked like a tranny. Mic Assasin just sucks. He hardly has anything intelligent to say, and he just beat that guy in the pink because he wasn't gonna win anyway. Some of the first couple of "you look like" insults in the first round of the battles are funny, but after that he just starts repeating himself.

Do you realize that you just contradicted yourself? The first rapper spent most of the battle talkinga bout himself, and didn't deal that many punches at all—I thought you said that's what mattered in street battles? The third man, by your definition, would've been the best. Oh, and in other circumstances, I would've chosent the opponet over the pink-shirted man, seeing as he didn't treat it like a battle. Only problem is, Mic Asassain wore out the same punchline over and over, and did so in a manner that made him seem like an alzheimer's sufferer with autism.

 

Maybe you should put that joint down, dude. I can't blame MJ, though, I'm high, and I know what I'm talking about. Honestly, though, you pretty much have convinced me that you have absolutely no idea what the f*ck you are talking about. It's not that I mind, though, it's the idea that you won't let anyone express valid points as to why this guy sucks, without chalking it up to Anti-British sentiment, or us being angry about what he said about the twin towers. Just because it's a street battle, is no excuse for just spitting out the first sh*t comes to your head. As a result, you get repetitiveness, choppy flow, and weak punches. In just the respect of battle rapping, disregarding flow and rhymescheme completely, this guy still f*cking sucks. The punches he comes up with are unoriginal and irrelevant in most cases, and he just keeps repeating them over and over. Then you consider the fact that the majority of his lines preceed with "I'm telling you", or some other time-wasting fraze, and then into just a random insult... sh*t, if you want to be picky about it, the only thing he did do was toss insults, there were no clever punches at all.

Given these three videos, this guy should NOT battle-rap. He's simply no good at it. I'm just not going to bother anymore, because you obviously don't realize there's simply nothing redeemable about what Mic Aasassin did on those videos. It's just sloppy, repetitive, unoriginal bull-sh*tting, and I don't find that to be of an quality at all.

 

Maybe if battle-rapping was simply to toss almost completely random insults at your opponet, while completely ignoring the rhyming componet of rap this guy would be all right, but that's not what battle-rapping is about.

 

Look, it's not that I'm denying that this guy has any good qualities. Like I said, on recording, he may be decent. But a freestyle battle rap is definitely not his area of expertise.
