Creating a vehicle from scratch

I've been perusing these forums, here, and have been unable to distinguish what I should be doing.

 

I have Gmax, and have been using it for a few years, now. So I think that's what I'm gonna be modelling with. I have an exporter (Kam's GTA Scripts) for Gmax so I can export, etc, but I don't know where to go from there, exactly.

 

What I would really like is a list of how the parts should be named, what they should consist of, and all of that. A big help would be a *.gmax scene that is ready to be converted so I can see how it was all set up.

 

If anyone knows the answers to these questions, or has any advice/links for me, that would be great.

For a 'gmax scene', simply open a dff file from the game

How is telling you there is a tutorials section w/ Tutorials (which is what you want, right?) can be found here not a helpful comment? Sure, i may have been an ass, but it was helpful....

But I'm a complete noob at this kinda thing, and haven't even seen these forums before. So how the HELL would I know where anything is?

 

But anyways, I got the stuff into Gmax, and am playing around with it.
