Just because they have ingame sync doesn't mean it's perfect, it can be crashy, buggy and glitchy.. So they basically test it to find these bugs, etc and fix them. However, there aren't any major bugs that ruin gameplay, and you can get a good solid couple of hours at least without any crashes. We've had 3+ hour tests with no crashes at all.
