Mike_Toreno Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 All right guys, seeing as the v1.0 version of The Chain Game came to a stop and was completed then locked, I wanted to take part in this one. I know Plaka said to me a while ago that I have to download PD's Convert Application.. but where can I find that? Also, does this mean I'd have to reinstall the game every time I have a shot at a v1.0 save game for someone? (Assuming you already knew I'm playing v1.0). Cheers. crazyanurag Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 hey Joey...great to see that you're willing to be a part of the Chain Game...to use PD's conversion program is very simple...you can find what you need in this thread, or you can get the links in this post, where you'll also find all the rules for the Chain... no, you won't need to re-install GTA:SA even once to play along in the V2 chain or to complete SnPs using V1.0...if you follow the directions in PD's post, you'll know how easy it is...if you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to PM myself or JAJ... thanks for playing along, and cheers to you too, mate... Go into Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\data\script\ Rename main.scm script.img To main.scm.bak script.img.bak Then copy the files from this archive into the folder. Download this and extract it into your My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files dir Play game, save whe done. Open My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files and drag the save file you saved on onto sa_id_convert.exe, then upload the same save game file To return to 1.0 go back to Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\data\script\ Delete main.scm script.img Rename main.scm.bak -> main.scm script.img.bak ->script.img Done. JAJ Posted April 13, 2006 Author Share Posted April 13, 2006 @Mike_Toreno: Sorry to have to remind you of the rules, we will accept your mission this time as we are allowing the gamer a grace when mistakes/oversights are made, and thanks again for playing along. Wait until 4 other turns have been completed before calling another mission. If 12 hours pass without another gamer calling a mission, then the 4 mission rule is reset & anyone may call a turn. Also, there's a typo "Zero's RC Shot" which I think should be "Shop" and should also be checked, as it was acquired sometime before I joined the chain.
