Trini
Hi all.I am the new guy.I recently changed the taxi in sa by changing .dff and .txd file . In the default.ide I changed Wheelsize to 0.83 and 089.This seems simple enough, however I noticed that ever since doing that, taxies no longer spawn.Only Cabs spawn, which I have left untouched.I also changed the majestic in the same way.It worked great, but I wanted to try another txd and dff,so I just changed those ones I had on majestic before,to the new ones now the majestic spawns no more.So I thought something was wrong with the new ones so i changed back to the txd and dff I had modded it with which worked flawlessly before, but Majestic still does not spawn although it workd with the same dff and txd. Please help.I am very sure that both these cars have stopped spawning cause I have been all over the place looking for them during my usual 4 hr gaming session but nothing.I have not tried reinstalling original backups yet. Very sorry to have posted this in wrong game section. There was no GTASA editing discussion, saw this and assumed it was all GTA games editing discussion, guess its GTA 1.Will post in GTASA trouble shooting. Suction Testicle Man
No, this is the correct section, the other section is for Troubleshooting problems with SA that are unrelated to modding. And yes, this section is for all versions of GTA. When a car does not spawn in game, it is because it is either corrupted, or set up incorrectly. Simply renaming a car mod away from its original name, and placing over the taxi, has been known to cause problems. Try downloading a car and replacing the SA vehicle it was intended for, and test that. Also make sure you definitely replaced the old dff and txd, and didn't add new ones; as that would cause many problems. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated. It does make it harder, but we haven't fully discovered all the gritty parts that make up a vehicle's settings that would need to be transferred also to successfully mod the game. It's complicated, but trial & error will always get you a result in the end. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.
