bluejeans
Whenever I brake using the infernus, I hear a hissing, pneumatic kind of sound - I'm guessing its ABS braking. Can you apply this to other cars?
Picolini
I HIGHLY doubt that they added a sound for ABS. And yes you can set ABS on any car. But i'm pretty sure that the Infernus does not have it regularly set. Its in the handling line, its called Anitlock brakes or ABS or something like that, you can't miss it. 0 is off 1 is on. cBonky
As far as I am aware the ABS system is not implemented at all in San Andreas, perhaps one of the updates changes this? From my handling excursions I never noticed the bABS flag affecting anything at all I would assume due to how poorly it functioned in previous versions they may have disabled it entirely, taking twice the distance to stop is hardly a useful game feature. On the other hand it may not have worked well at all with the updated engine, or even perhaps just ditched due to publisher deadlines, clearly much of SA was not fully complete when released. Anyhow, if it does work for you I would like to know what version/patches/mods you have as I haven't seen it function at all across several different executables
Picolini
Well, i dunno if it actually changes anything (i was gonna say that, but decided not to). But my guess is that it doesn't work... gues it doesn't matter though. Who needs abs in a videogame? If you slide that extra 30 feet in the rain, it doesn't matter that you ran over an old lady in the process
BenMillard
I was pretty sure that the ABS column never did anything in the handling.cfg file for GTA3, GTAVC or GTASA. The topic starter is either making this up or is simply hearing the tyres screeching.

I'm not hearing things - just trying to figure out a way I could run the game and record at the same time - would take up a lot of resources. Maybe the deceleration setting is set so that the car stops really quick - which it does. Useful for when you need to stop in a hurry, with other vehicles they will flip, travel quite a way in the air before landing, sometimes in a river. Try the following code, and it should make a noise for you, not using the handbrake, but your down arrow: INFERNUS 1500.0 2725.3 1 0.0 0.0 -0.25 70 2 0.8 0.50 5 450.0 55.0 10.0 4 P 110.0 0.51 0 30.0 1.2 0.19 0.0 0.25 -0.10 0.5 0.4 0.
