jimbo_uk
I've troubled myself for hours to take out all the gang territories in Los Santos, now as far as i can see, the whole map is covered in green, i also checked the stat, that's 53 territories currently held by me. Just as i had a nice and peaceful drive /mess arround for a while thinking that 'i rule LS', that annoying 'our hood is under attack' message popped up again!! i thought: WTF???!!! checked the map again, it appeared to be the pink gang that was attacking one of my hood, ~again,, i couldn't find a trace of other colours in that map.... so why the hell did they come back again? does that mean, i can't controll 100% of the gang areas even the map indicates so? btw, i know by reading some other messages that once i finish off los santos, the gangs will come back anyway.. but i just want to have the chance to have a peaceful drive around and do some other odd/side missions b4 leaving this city... but it seems they wouldn't leave me alone any ideas why this is? thanx alot

crazyanurag
actually, the other gangs disappear when you're completing a second stint of turf wars (after having completed the countryside, san fierro, desert and las venturas misions). right now, even if you have all the territories, these gangs have a part to play in the game, especially in the storyline. what i can suggest is, complete the missions fast and get back to LS...when prompted to engage in turf wars again, just get all the territories and you should be in the clear to drive wherever you want... and yeah, if you do have all 53 territories you'd have a lot less attacks than say, when you have about 30. since you're not out of LS yet, i don't think you'll have any sort of territory glitch...anyways, hope you have a peaceful drive-around... t0nedude
Check your stats and see if you have 100% territory. If you do not then there's your answer; one or more must still exist that need taking over, hence the problems you are experiencing. Note that if you are taking territories before you leave LS for the first time, you will lose them all when you get to the Badlands, after finishing all LS missions. Tony. gillies
Something else that might be the problem is that apparently if you don't go and defend your territory within a certain amount of time (and don't go and save or start a vehicle mission to avoid having to do this) you don't specifically lose your territory but it becomes jointly owned by the attacking gang. The other gang can then launch attacks on other territories you hold due to their presence in this area. This will also happen automatically if you go close enough to a territory that is being attacked so that the attacking gang members get instanced but instead of defending the territory you go and save... That happened to me once. The green colour on the map varies in some areas, and in some areas it looks different because of whatever is on the map below it, so it can be difficult to see these jointly owned territories as they appear as a mix of both gang's colours. Mxyzptlk
Check the sidewalk here in Vinewood, it's a very small hard to see Ballas turf: If that's not it, check Jefferson Motel, and check northwest San Fierro near the south end of the bridge. In the future if you have a question about gang territories, post it in the Gang Territory topic.

There should be a 'Territory under control' stat, which is displayed as a percentage(%). It should be above or below (can't remember exactly where) the info for the number of territories held/taken over. Check thoroughly. The number of total territories can fluctuate, at one point my game said there was 57(!) territories to take over. Tony.

This is because, all you have to do is shoot Ballas FROM that point, whether they're in that territory or not. Once the gang war stars, you can go where you like during the war, though obviously not too far away from the territory.
