The-King
These are a couple WWII collages I did for a school project and I could use some imput on them. The first one is based at a nazi officer's desk. The second at a nazi soldier's desk or something like that. Looking forward to some feedback.~TGK |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
Svip
Grenades on a desk? And a soldier having his own desk?! Plus, I do not suspect an officer having his knife lying openly on his desk! But for the graphics (beside the historical errors), the images are rather good, but the other items does not really seem to flow with the rest, their outlines seem wrong. Also light seems to come from a wrong direction towards the other items on the table (and the table itself).
The-King
The bullets have a weird coloration because the source image was in grey scenery, so the bullets reflected some of the grey which messed up the shadows. The knife is supposed to be more of a letter opener type item. On the soldier it's less of a desk and more of a table/trunk, and the grenade is there because the soldier took it off his belt and put it on a table.~TGK |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
DiVaio
The first one looks pretty good, but the objects don't blend in too well. Especially the knife, can't really say what's wrong with it, but it just doesn't match with the rest.
Guybrush Threepwood
The officer's desk is just weird. I've never seen an officer so sloppy. He put his coffee mug on top of photographs of enemy installations? No f*cking way. Then there's these things called sheaths where normal officers keep their knives in. Cigar boxes! Invention from the 18th century, nobody who smokes them, lives without them. Pictures can be stacked, so you can actually work on your desk. Soldier's bunk, again, images are stackable! And like Svip said, grenade on it? Furthermore, bullets on it?! Not even the most irregular G.I. Joe wannabe motherf*cker leaves bullets and grenades lying around. On top of that, the stuff you pasted into the images looks really pasted. I know this is for a school collage, but it's just so incredibly unaccurate and basically, dare I say it, ugly. You could try to blend the pasted images in a little better by softening them a bit (turning down the opacity only a bit), and making the shadows a bit brighter. As it is, the shadows make it all the more clear that they're pasted.
