Is it hard? How would i go about adding the bumper and roof scoop etc dummies to the cars whicg dont have them aplied ?

Is it beginer stuff or do you need to be a pro at moddeling

Is there a tutorial on it anywere

i tryed getting to the tutorial section but after refreshing 7 times i gave in, why is the forum so slow now? it never use to be.

Any help would be nice on this smile.gif

Thanks in advance tounge.gif

Suction Testicle Man

Fairly easy, just open up an original dff that has these dummies, and open up the vehicle you want the dummies to be added to in a separate window. You can then simply copy and rename dummies on the second vehicle so they match the positioning and naming of the original dff's dummies. Nothing else is required, other than making sure the hierarchy/objects list is in the correct order. As long as both vehicles look identical in every aspect other than actual shape when you are finished, you shouldn't have a problem.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.

Just find out what the dummys are called for the mod.

IE (dunno if its really called this) but spoiler_dummy

So go to 3dsMax, open up the .dff.

Go to create dummy (not sure where that is, sorry). Name it the spoiler_dummy

place it where you want it, where the center of the spoiler would be is my guess for the placement.

Then export the .dff. Then i think you need to add the spoiler line to the carmods data file for that vehicle. And that should be it. But i don't know if the textures will stay. And i don't know if the dummy sizes need to be changed to work in SA while working w/ 3dsm.

No, hardcoded to Hydra only.

My advice would be to import the nodes from the rancher as it has the most out of all standard vehicles, only beaten by the WheelArchAngel moddifiable cars.

I used to use this vehicle the most even in my PS2 modding days because of this aspect.

Any parts not covered by this vehicle can be imported from one that deos, I wouldn't bother with creating them from scratch as it's time wasted.

It's just a case of moving them around to suit the positioning for the model after that.

You will have to alter the Carmods file to get them working as well, not 100% on what to do after this as I am only about to try this out myself.

The majority of the ArchAngels parts were car specific, wheels, spoilers and roof scoops however could be ported between a good few cars on PS2 and no doubt PC as well.

I think its just a case of finding their names and adding to your carmod data or something similar. Making sure you have the correct nodes fitted as well.

I'm sure there will be a more specific topic on it in here somewhere.

Ok thanks ive done that before but the dummies are off (like the spiler will be half on the car and half off) i done it on the ps2 with bumpers etc and there off position.
