But it's not an mta error it's also like this while palying normally. Does any one know how to fix this ive been palying for months and it only just started been there today. cBonky
Unreal, self modifying code perhaps?...hehe I assume you have checked the colour depth and resolution settings, occasionally my SA installs decide to jump into other display modes on loading without informing me at all until I arrive in game to find colour banding or 10fps due to a 2048 x 1536 resolution at 16bpp or similar. Hrm, no driver changes or automatic windows updates recently?, no new game installs that tried to force DirectX down your throat without asking for permission? Perhaps you could try a second install and see if it still exhibits the same behaviour, at least that will inform you if that particular game install is at fault or not. Maybe it is a game 'feature' that you can unlock, hehe eat your heart out hotcoffee Hope my random stabbing in the dark helps you narrow down the problem. The-end
Hmmmmmmmm my colour dept allready is 32, anyhow it seems to be a problem running in 800 res (which i have to do for mta) as i went on the game normally and went to 1024x768 and there was no haze but when switching back to 800 res the haze was there anyone know what is going on ? Suction Testicle Man
He says he already is on 32bit. I say try some different drivers for your graphics card, and check the card's current temperature. Does the problem occur in game from the moment you boot up, or after a period of time? If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.
The-end
It's never there at any time except on san andreas, but you can only see it on san andreas when running in the 800 res mode but in 1024x768 it isn't there. It isn't there on other game either, i dont see it at boot up or anything you mentioned, my video card is a geforce fx5200 (i know it's a pile of crap and im upgrading it later this year, it came with the pc over a year ago) So you suggest i get some new drivers, i was reading the illegal sector's topic and junoxupgraded his drivers and it totaly f*cked bunches of stuff up i dont realy want that too happen. DexX
as long as your getting drivers from the official manufacturer, in your case Nvidia, they should never, ever mess anything up. and the first thing tech support people are going to ask (should you decide to contact them) is if you have the latest drivers. if not, they'll tell you to get them anyway. i've had 2 geforce fx cards (im using one right now, sadly) and have never had problems with drivers. Y_Less
Have you checked what your desktop and other programs look like in the problem resolution and colour depth?
JernejL
I strongly recommend you to check your GFX card cooling, and if you use omega drivers - it may be combination of both, basicly it looks like your card is overheating, this can be caused by omega drivers or overclocking. Well ive never overclocked the card EVER. and the colling on the card has been the same for over a year and never got this and ive been playing san andreas for months and never got it so i dont c that it could be sa overheating it. If you guys could link me to something where i can find out my card drivers ill tell you them. Would you kindly link me to the correct drivers needed for my card (Geforce fx5200) as they have never been updated so that may be cauusing the problem. Thanks alot for this guys

spaceeinstein
...Man, this is wierd. The green fog only appears greenish on 16 bit but it is white on 32 bit for me. Try setting resolution down to 640x480x32?...
Chaos27
this also happens to me, but only when i ctrl-alt-del out of the game while im in the johnson house. Its really weird, the game menu is pitch black, and if you manage to get back ingame the screen goes upside down and theres a transparent random txd file (one time it was a SWAT member bitmap, probably cause i was playing as a SWAT member) and if you go outside that haze appears. DexX
try deleting just the .set file then (in the user files folder). it contains all the graphics and controller settings for the game.
