Anyway, love this game completely. Used to play it all the time and used to prefer it over Battlefield 2, so it's very good. Fast paced and fun, the action never stops. As long as you keep updating it. I personally like CoD2 but BF2 takes up most of my time. The graphics are very sexy and the multiplayer is nice. I feel a bit closed in when I play now though due to BF2's sprawling (in comparison) maps. The single player was fun although it's more linear than it would lead you to believe. It's done well however and it's a nice treat on your eyes. Always been a big fan of MOH myself so CoD2 was a nice addition to my collection. Nice topic. Grandthefter Posted February 19, 2006 Share Posted February 19, 2006 CoD2 on veteran (the 360 version, not Big Red One) was a great game to play through, multiplayer is even better once you can connect to a server that doesn't lag once everybody is connected. Haven't won any online games but it's still fun. Also, whats that middle picture of, the other 3 look familiar but the middle top row one looks completely different than anything i played. Waddy Posted February 19, 2006 Share Posted February 19, 2006 I have just aquired COD2, I got it with a new Graphics card lol Anyway, I have played it a couple of times on single player and found that it was decent, Im not a fan of WW1/2 games to be honest, so it was a nice suprise that I liked it. Ive only played single player up to now, I will venture out into multiplayer soon, I had a quick go but got spawn killed 5 times so gave it up, thats crazy. Time will tell. But yeah, i played it and beat it on Easy, but if i try Hard or anything i get schooled...so i'm not the best at it. I'm gonna try out the multiplayer thing maybe tomorrow, i haven't touched it yet. Its far less complicated then bf2, which is one of its strengths and weaknesses at the same time. COD2 is simple, but can get boring eventually. Then you need modifications to keep it up... BF2 is complcated, more difficult to learn. But you can play it for ageesssss. Single player in COD2 is a one-time experience. Second time is boring. That said, it is the perfect game for a LAN party where many people of different skill/interests can all play together. I wish there were more guns, but oh well. Shotty and SMGs for me. Oh yeah, forgot to mention - Kill Cam is THE most satsifying feature when you are playing on LAN. Nothing like getting a kill, turning your head and saying to your mate: "watch the replay, its like, straight out of Saving Private Ryan!" What I hate about it is the directx7 mode. Its really good, the music that happens in dramatic parts makes it feel right. Seen the level where you blow up the building by blowing the supports and the building falls with everyone watching? I just went on a server where you arrived to brecourt france YES brecourt, it was amazing, you turned up in a boat being bombed, lots of loud explosions and things, then the boat blew up and you flew out , got a screenie : Boats in Brecourt There was water but as soon as you flew out, it soaked into the floor kind of, it was amazing. Forfit Posted February 22, 2006 Share Posted February 22, 2006 (edited) I tried doing the multiplayer thing awhile back, but it appears no one uses the standard one (or my firewall is blocking it still) and i tried Xfire, but i dont have any friends so i dont know where to start Yeah well, i got that all figured out now and i played a few rounds with some guys that evidently didn't like me, but man was it super fun. Whenever i open Xfire and i look at all the servers that there are, am i free to join anyone i feel like? Because when i see a bunch of people playing (like 28 let's just say) i would like to join them, but i don't know if they are like friends or a huge team and would boot me or get all mad if i joined them.
