Smooth Operator Posted February 19, 2006 Share Posted February 19, 2006 As the title says i cannot install the 1.01 patch to san andreas. I have the second edition and I have changed my exe to the fixed one just to be able to start the game in the first place (http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=231452). However the patch would not install even before I changed my exe to the one that would at least let me start the game. I've done clean installs and tried to apply the patch ight away but it still says “Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since contents do not match.” I have looked at the other topics on this issue but nobody seems to be able to solve the problem. Has anyone with the second edition for pc managed to get the patch working? Any help greatly appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GTA3Freak-2001 Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 The second edition doesn't need the patch and can't be patched so that's your problem, the Second Edition already has the changes that the patch makes to the 1.0 edition.
