Vayne
Can someone create a island base in normal size that can be used by everybody to build his island on? Many people know how to create objects on solid parts ingame, but less know how to build this island base and get it working. So if someone is in the mood to create one above the sea, every one could make nice islands.
Durka Durka Mahn
instead of making an island, you should use the land just south of donald loves building. theres a TON of room there!
theY4Kman
If there was a good island base, people would be using it by now...And thanks for the...ummm...4th, wait, no, 5th topic about this issue

Faye
To anybody wanting understanding in making bases, here's a very quick explanation on Vectors. (xyz) Every object, when spawned is placed on an axis like so. Note: Box in the middle is your object (Grey Wall, for an example) N Note: Z is not visable due to it being a three dimensional vector. (X and Y are 2 Dimensional Vectors, as they can be used on 2D shapes. Z cannot) Now, if we rotate this object 45 degrees around the X axis, we would end up with something like this: Now, this may not be very clear, but here's a 'side view' of the x axis and the object. And to clarify things, a 90 degree rotation. Note: The difference (in degrees) between the objects starting point and the objects point after rotation is how much it has been rotated by. ~Fenn
chrislawrance
my advice is to just wait for cheatdevice v0.9 with construction mode in it. no more coding problems just good building fun. and myraid island is a pc vice city mod while this is a lcs psp mod. Faye
Beh. It's better the coding way. It means we dont have n00bs making islands every single day. ~Fenn
chrislawrance
noobs will make noob islands. people like you and me will take the time and effort to make a fully functional map that is the size of portland (ish)

EDIT: if you see how many noobs have requests to learn how to code on this forum...

Fenn said that people who need one should pm her,.. i did but she diddn't pm me back
nffc10
noobs will get stuck along the line and will give up. How can you say this? every good modder was a n00b someday even YOU. but now you regard yourself as a good modder so therefore your wrong. You should offer people more help with things like modding ect... Because everybody has to learn somewhere Right?

Picolini
Ok, on topic.... whats the difference with placing an object on the island and making your own island and placing it in the game? It's the same damn thing IMO....

chrislawrance
i agree that self-made bases are better then ready-made ground (except matts mega stunt park which rocks) when construction mode comes out, making your own floor base will be easy. expect a large stream of cheap quick islands any day soon when construction mode comes out (some of which will suck).
