Quadropheniac90
I certainly do. My favourite bands are Golden Earring, U2, REM, Deep Purple, The Who, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and I like Green Day and Sugarcult for example for the punk side of it. Is there anybody who likes this stuff nowadays? All I here on Music Television or the radio is 50 Cent, The Game, crap like that (I don't mean to offend anyone by saying that). I especially like songs like these: Radar Love - Golden Earring Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple Who Are You - The Who Stuck in America - Sugarcult American Idiot - Green Day Stars on 54 Medley - the Beatles (too lazy to list all their songs here ) Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one on the world here liking this music. I'm sure this is not the case, so I'd like people with somewhat the same taste (Rock, Punk, whatever sounds similiar to these types of music) to post what music they like, then I can see what good music is also out there. Venom
No, sadly they all got rounded up and shot. It was devil music you see.. Just go to a concert, you'll have at least, on a small scale, 100 people to chat to Anyway, it's all good. Punk and Rock are the best.
Quadropheniac90
Haha, true. I like Neutral Milk Hotel too by the way. Coldplay has some OK songs, but not really my taste. I guess I won't be seeing many people here then... EDIT: Who knows Golden Earring? They're Dutch, but they made tours in the US, Germany, and quite a few more, so I think others know them. Alick
Both are great. Green Day are probably my favourite band, liked them for about 8 years. If somebody comes in here and says they aren't punk I am going to seriously whip them until their ass goes bright red.
Phalanxe
Seeing Neutral Milk Hotel put on the same level as Green Day just ruined my day. f*ck you all.

Quadropheniac90
Baba O'Riley is cool... Damn, I don't have a favourite song... Erm... Let's just say I love pretty much all old rock, punk, and off course some new stuff. Oh, it was hilarious, my sister is into all that R&B, Rap, and other kinds of crap. I told her she has no taste. Her answer: Well it's in the Top 40, so it's good music. I just love people who say dumb things and don't realize it. @Phalanxe: I'm not putting them on the same list. Golden Earring = Kings of (the world) Holland Green Day = Great! Neutral Milk Hotel = OK Should I make a list?
boobtronic
Oh god. Green Day! Come the f*ck on. They wouldn't know punk if joey Ramone and Glen Danzig circa 1978 double teamed their assholes. Green Day have become talentless drones of the anti-establishment.

ToyMachine
Green Day and Sugarcult are f*cking trash. They're not punk at all. I suggest not talking about punk unless it's the stuff that's actually punk. I listen to punk. Stuff like The Misfits, Cancerslug, Crass, Oi Polloi, The Damned, Aus Rotten, Social Distortion and the Casualties floats my boat.
Quadropheniac90
I didn't create this topic for people who hate Green Day or say it isn't punk to f*ck with someone, I created it for people who have the same taste and who'd like to post about their favourite music. So please, would people stop spamming?

If you want to talk about Green Day, and you want the topic to not be intercepted by people with an actual music taste, create your own forum with your other Green Day buddies and enjoy a big Green Day orgy. Xihix
Green Day has certainly changed. I, myself, am a Green Day fan, but not as much as I used to be. They still are my favorate band anyways. I liked Insomniac and below (Dookie, Kurplunk!, ect.). The other albums were... different. I just didn't like them as much as I loved those. I really do wish they would go back to just some pants and a tee shirt, but I doubt that will happen, sadly. American Idiot wasn't bad, some of the songs aren't that bad either, but it's not the same. I don't like every song on American Idiot. I loved all the songs on Dookie. Thats part of whats different. I love this Green Day: This Green Day... Well, I rather this one change: I enjoy Punk...

Quadropheniac90
Hmpf, you can have your opinion. What would you call Green Day then? Anyways, I like it, but not as much as the other (rock) groups I named in the first post. OK, it's not punk, happy now?
Itellthetruth
i like classic rock bands from england The Who The Clash Queen Rolling Stones and more... to lazy to list them

Quadropheniac90
I like Queen too, I can't remember any music of the Clash though, I'll think I'll check it out sometimes. @ToyMachine: Thanks. I guess that's a nice genre then. Who else thinks Child in Time from Deep Purple is marvelous?

Digital Murders
lol. How cute, he thinks Green Day is punk. Certainly everything pre-dookie would be considered punk. Everything after....definately is far from it.

vacuumo
I could smell the irony in this thread miles away. Yeah, but that's the thing with all posts of this nature. Just as 'any1 here like ne GUD rap' will garner such greats as 50 Cent, The Black Eyed Peas, Outkast, and Tupac Shakur, rock threads are any combination of Coldplay, Led Zeppelin, Green Day and Jimi Hendrix (More specifically, Yellow, Stairway To Heaven, American Idiot and All Along The Watchtower). Edit: How did we miss this gem? Oh, it was hilarious, my sister is into all that R&B, Rap, and other kinds of crap. I told her she has no taste. Her answer: Well it's in the Top 40, so it's good music. biggrin.gif I just love people who say dumb things and don't realize it.

Outkast You can't even say Outkast isn't nice, if thats what you were saying. 50 Cent and Outkast can't be put together, cause Andre 3000 makes some nice music where Big Boi....eh, he's the lesser needed part. I like trippy rock. Oh, and [email protected], metal all the way.
Paths
Some punk is good, but none of the new stuff. I'm more into chill-out music. Edited February 26, 2006 by Paths

Jack_Knife
Oh, it was hilarious, my sister is into all that R&B, Rap, and other kinds of crap. I told her she has no taste. Her answer: Well it's in the Top 40, so it's good music. I just love people who say dumb things and don't realize it. My sister likes popular music also. Except I don't tell her she has no taste because I know music is totally subjective, and it is all about taste. She doesn't have no taste, she has a different taste. I just love it when people say stupid things and don't even realise it. "You can play faster than Al Di Meola and do it with only one pinky, but if you're not listening to what is going on around you, you might as well just shut up" isn't your croth suppose to be erecting when you have an orgasm?
