the_king
Yes, they will answer. Download a car spawner or edit the main.scm to spawn a car near you.
Suction Testicle Man
If using the car spawner or the main.scm results in a crash, or they simply don't work, the cars you added are corrupt and you should contact the author regarding them. But also make sure the cars were intended for your game, and you added both the dff and the txd to your img. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated. gta_playa
I think the authors are german, I got the cars from gtainside.com.
syrdax
Sorry to bump in your topic, but I have a similar problem, I just can't add any car to the game (GTA III): tried almost everything, I used different txt img editors and always the same problem, the loading bar stops before the end (right down the R* logo); checked readmes, some says that rff goes in txt and img in img, some says that both go in txt, etc. So how really is? where exactly go the two files? I did everything readmes says but always end in the same problem, the game won't load. And yes, I rebuild, I un check the read-only, etc; I used to put cars in Vice City so I know what I'm doing pretty much, is just that it seems that in GTA III is somehow different. I added the little radar thing that colors it which comes with an installer and some files to put in the hud file and it works fine, the only thing I can add to the game that it works. gta_playa
I ussually put the two files in gta3.img, then delete txd.img, and txd.dir, so then the game creates them normaly, but sometimes, the game freezes while optimizing textures for my video card as soon as the bar fills up. the_king
You did it wrong. You put the dff file in the gta3.img, and the txd file in the txd.img. If you dont do that the game will crash.
