250r Rider Posted February 18, 2006 Share Posted February 18, 2006 I have GTA: SA for Xbox and im hearing its VERY hard to nearly impossible to mod the Version 2 Edtion and thats what i have! He says every mod, car change u pretty mush make will make Version 3 freeze at the press start screen! is this true?! if so is there anyway to patch it so it IS version 1?! Version 2 has limited modding capability. On the PC version, the exe runs some sort of check and a modified gta3.img will cause a crash on loading. A version 1 exe will allow gta3.img modding but some script mods can still cause trouble. See the v2 modding topic for details.
