TommyAngelo
Well, as I saw like no trace of a Wolfmother topic(only people mentioning them) I thought I'd go along and start a topic on them. I've been listening to Wolfmother for awhile now, I first heard them on Triple J(best radio station in Australia), and from there I've gotten really addicted to their music. I wasn't able to go to the Big Day Out in Adelaide, so I'm still kind of pissed about that, but I heard it wasn't any good anyway( anyone mind on informing me?). I made this topic for the likers of Wolfmother, please go away if your going to come in here to post how sh*t you think they are. Oh and I'm pretty sure they are touring the US at the moment, all you Americans get out there and go see them!
Mav.
Yeah, I like them. A bit over them now, but they're still pretty cool. Colossal = Their best song.
Jack_Knife
The Mother are awesome. I didn't get to the BDO either (Gold Coast one for me), but yeah, the lineup was pretty sh*tty except the likes of The Mother and The Mars Volta. I can't wait for them to record another album (I know it won't be for a while), 'cause I really think they have to potential to release some awesome sh*t. Oh, and favourite song would have to be Mind's Eye, although I like every song of their album, pretty much. "You can play faster than Al Di Meola and do it with only one pinky, but if you're not listening to what is going on around you, you might as well just shut up" isn't your croth suppose to be erecting when you have an orgasm? Mr.Miffusle
All I know is the mstrkrft remix of Mother is amazing.
-shaDow
I know that blatantly ripping off music from the 70s is their "thing", but I can't f*cking stand it. I also can't f*cking stand that the whole nation seems to be busting their nuts over them, rewarding and encouraging bland, generic, uninventive music. When nobody thanked you for Jet you should've gotten the message. Miffy's got the right idea though.

Yeah, I'm pretty much with shaDow on this one. Decent Australian rock bands are few and far between. All we do is encourage mediocrity. MEDIOCRITY IS NOT AN OPTION, DR JONES. DaRotor
BDO this year had the worst line up. However I saw them at the 2005 BDO at Gold Coast, and they were the second best act I saw. They held the audience so well. I had never heard their music then, but went on a friends reccomendation, and I was captivated. Haven't bought the CD yet, but they do have my support. TommyAngelo
I just heard The White Unicorn by Wolfmother, and I reckon its a sweet longer song, thats great for relaxing music. @DaRotor, I heard that the BDO was sh*t, but I thought that it might of been decent....what was wrong with it anyway? MindCorrupt
Saw them at Rock'It this year. Went off, but not as good as kaizer cheifs on the day. On the word of Rock'It...RHCP are coming over for it in december. Gonna prebook some tickets and some weed for sure. It's gonna go right off. BDO is sucking atm. Its taking a back seat now... BrassKnuckles
Um...Jimmy Page called and wants his opening chords back from "The White Unicorn." I'm with Shadow. Plagiarized music is Australia's chief export. rar paitn ^^
Eviscero
It was Led Zeppelin's too, though. I like Wolfmother. I believe you, Brass, but what song is it you're referring to by Zeppelin?
BrassKnuckles
"The White Unicorn." Listen to those opening chords...now listen to the opening chords of "Ramble On." Huh? rar paitn ^^
Jay
I woulda gone to BDO at the drop of the hat if the lineup wasnt so sh*t. Mudvayne woulda been good though. Wolfmother grew off me. Listened to Minds Eye a few times and was like "" and then it got annoying.

Dublo 7
Eh, I listened to my brothers copy of this album the other day. I can't say I really enjoyed it. I think the only thing I liked about the album, was the cover art.
