jman0 Posted February 24, 2006 Share Posted February 24, 2006 Well, I don't know if this is what you mean or at least similar, but GTA3 is clearly based on a 1983 movie called "Scarface", starring Al Pacino. Boximus Posted March 27, 2006 Share Posted March 27, 2006 The problem with making a GTA movie would be that so much of the games is influenced by existing movies (Taxi drivers, The Driver, scarface, carletos way, boyz in the hood, bullit, terminator 2, pulp fiction, goodfellas, casino, menace to society, face off, juice, reservoir dogs etc.) that it would be very hard to make without it looking like a complete rip off of all these other great movies. I think the only GTA lead character that would be good enough to base a movie around would be Tommy Vercetti anyway. In fact that would have to be pretty much the whole premise of the film, a 1980's crime drama/comedy. Thats teh only thing I could see even remotely working.
