Knightstar Mods
Hi guys, Is anyone a good missions scripter because i need a mission scripter for my mod and most of my mods is scripting so i need someone whos good at doing it. If you want to know about the mod well this mod what am planning to make is the first cool Police Mod ever for GTA Vice city. In the game your the cop. You spawn inside the police station and theres some new clothing there new miami cop clothes you get dresses into them and pick up some handcuffs and a new colt from inside the cop station. Then you go round the back of the police station and there are some new and realistic cop cars there and fbi car so you choose what car you want then get in then you on patrol. Now when on patrol you can see high speeders and drunken drivers on the road if you do see one you have too put your siren on and follow the car sometimes he will pull over but other times he will make it into a chase. Once he has pulled over he will get out of the car and put his hands up. Then you walk to him and a scene comes up showing a your playing arresting that guy then after the scene has played he will spawn at back of your cop car after that you drive him back to the pink marker outside the police station doors where you drop him off then you go back onto patrol.Sometimes you have to follow cars to places where gangs meet up so you can kill them and that and sometimes you have to go to shops because theres like a burgular there with a gun and that. Once you have finished patroling you have to drive your car into a pink maker at the back of the cop station and then u will get ur wages like $30000 or somet like that. Oh yea and when doing pursuits you can call for backup by pressing a key on your keyboard. To get other cop cars to help you. Thats my idea sooo really all of it is mission scripting... so if anyone can help me with this well please reply back here thx ...
the_king
Once you've gathered research, then maybe start prototyping ideas, a few concept sketches of cars, buildings etc. Also a few ingame prototypes won't go a miss. Then you need to make a topic, which clearly presents your ideas, what you've done so far, what you are doing, asking for help if you need it. Sounds cool, post pics to motivate people to help you. Those handcuffs sound awesome!!!
ms.cooldude
this Patrol idea of yours is already used as a mission in the total conversion "Myriad Islands"
Quadropheniac90
So actually what you're asking is for someone to code you a mod and you take credit for it. Smart move, not. .:Teun:.

Yes that is a very bad idea. Knowone will help if they don't get credit for their work. Missions Scripting isn't easy. And it's not worth it if you don;t even get a mention in the readme. Your heading down the track to being nominated for this years most direspect member if you start doing this kind of stuff. Never a good move . cBonky
Bit of an assumption, but one would presume any assistance from others would be credited if so desired, though I know plenty a modder that does not expect recognition for their work. Only large modifications and total conversions are worth keeping track of your input as the finished results can be useful when organising a portfolio for future job and college applications etc. Edited February 25, 2006 by cBonky
