sixkiller
1) PC 2) 1.1 3) P4 3.0gHz HT 4) 1024Mb DDR2 5) GF ASUS N6600GT 6) Windows XP SP2 7) DirectX version - 9.0c(with SP2) 8) On board, not sure... 9) A lot of mods, all cars and a big highway I cant remember the name. Main.scm is the original one, not changed. 10) (PC ONLY) Have you tried deleting your settings file? Where to find it: My Documents\GTA Vice City User Files\gta_vc.set No 11) History: Is this your first install? Did it work once before? Anything that is relevant. There is very much cars replaced but the game works before(last year). Now I decided to replace some other cars and I installed over 10 cars. Every one of these cars is working fine. But after 30min. play the game crashes. Before installing these cars(like I said, over 10) the game worked correctly no matter how long I play. After installing a car I check it in the game to see is it working(and over 5min. test drive) so I don't know whats happening.. Demarest
This is the Vice City Troubleshooting forum. Don't waste our time on a game that works perfectly fine until you tinker with the files. The answer is obvious.
sixkiller
My game worked fine with over 70 replaced cars and one highway added. It crashes with the 10 new cars wich I replaced and tested one by one. Do you have any answear for this ? If you think that I waste your time, why you are here ? And one more thing, I'm not as stupid as you think, Demarest, I know how to mod my game !
Demarest
Nobody called you stupid, nor do I claim to have a grasp on your intelligence level based on a couple posts. Your intelligence level is irrelevant. You posted in the wrong section, you know the answer, so posting it at all IS wasting our time.
Justin
The point still stands, regardless. Re-installing the game will fix the problem. If you're so intent on keeping the mods, uninstall the last ten and see if it works again. Revert back to when the game last worked. As Dem said, us troubleshooting regulars have had experience with unmodded problems. When a mod comes up, all we can really say is uninstall it. If you're having trouble with a particular mod, contact the author and see if he can give you a hand.
