WeezyPooh
Can anyone tell me which vehicle to use (that is the easiest) to complete this stupid mission. Thanks! Louise
Mxyzptlk
Hunter is easiest... Rhino isn't bad. HPV-1000 is good.
t0nedude
The Hunter and/or the Rhino tank are the easiest to do the Vigilante mission in IMHO. The only problem is getting hold of either. Steal a tank from area 69, and get a wanted level while you are trying to get it to a safe house, for the Hunter; get all Golds on the flight school and one will spawn at Verdant Meadows Despite what Mxyzptlk says, the HPV1000 is one of the harder options due to it's fragility IMO, and the fact that your wanted level rises so quickly. An easy option it is not! Tony.
gillies
I might was well post what I had written before I saw Mxyzptlk had replied as I have elaborated on how to get the good vehicles... The easiest is the Hunter helicopter, getting a little practice flying it will help a lot too (to get one either get all gold medals in the flying school, or start the mission "Heli Hell" at the airport in Las Venturas, fly the Hunter back to the airport then get out and wait for the mission to fail, the Hunter should be where you left it when you exit the menu for these missions and you can fly it back to Verdant Meadows and save it in the hangar). The next best is the Rhino tank, the trouble with this is you will have to wade through the wreckage of police and other vehicles while travelling between targets, and because of all the destruction you cause you will rack up wanted levels really fast (to get a Rhino you need to have completed "Learning To Fly" and preferably "Green Goo" so you have access to a jetpack, take the jetpack over the wall into the Restricted Area and land near the tank which is in the northern hangar, disengage the jetpack then get into the tank and hightail it out of there by smashing through the weak fence in the south of the compound, get back to Verdant Meadows and put the tank in the garage then save your game to get rid of the wanted levels). The HPV1000 isn't such a bad option due to being fragile, because the vehicle you use for the Vigilante mission gets repaired between levels, the real risk is being killed by gunshot wounds from the targets - after about level 7 they carry shotguns which can take you from 150 health and 100 armor to death with about four direct hits and the only thing you can do is try to stay far enough away from them which can get difficult if they decide to drive around a small block in the city over and over again. ajkhan316`
Despite what Mxyzptlk says, the HPV1000 is one of the harder options due to it's fragility IMO, and the fact that your wanted level rises so quickly. An easy option it is not! Tony. The fact that you can shoot forward on a HPV1000 makes it a good choice although I myself prefer the Hunter in which the wanted-level doesn't rise that fast and police are helpless against me. But then it would take some good flying skills to use a hunter for vigilante. Also most people want to complete the vigilante while they are on the first island and they won't get access to hunter and rhino there. So HPV1000 is the way to go. - FiJiAn 4 LiFe
Mxyzptlk
I think HPV is the third easiest vehicle for Vigilante, because it's very easy to drive by and hit the gas tanks with it. And you are able to drive behind the target and shoot forward. All the vehicles repair a bit after each level so that negates some of the fragility. EDIT: Yeah, what they said ^
t0nedude
Personally I just waited until I had acquired the Hunter, then it was comparative cake. Both the paramedic and Firefighter missions are alot easier than Vigilante with a bike. I found I could wait until after flight school to do Vigilante, because the bonuses from Paramedic and Firefighter gave me a boost. But hey, that's just me... I agree, if you want to do vigilante on the first island, you're stuck with the HPV1000 as your best option. But unless you get lucky, it will be a hassle, prepare for the long haul.....I remember getting to about level 5 or 6 and thinking 'Sod this, I'll wait until I get a Hunter!' Tony. Airborne
A few more tips on using the Hunter: 1. Fire the cannon instead of rockets for most of the time because its rate of fire is fast and auto-aim! That will save you a LOT of time. 2. Avoid to start your mission near Badland and rural area of southern SF. Tall pine trees and hilly roads definitely give you a real pain when tracing criminals. 3. Hover your Hunter around the targets to prevent overpass (only consider this if you decide to use cannon).
DJDJ
Also, start around BAYSIDE, North of Fierro with the hunter. the open airspace will play in yor favour, andthe cars don't seem to go anywhere raelly...
monkeyman237
Also if you use cheats you can just spawn it by using this code on ps2. HUNTER: O, X, L1, O, O, L1, O, R1, R2, L2, L1, L1.

lolo603
Rhino simply is the best. here's why: 1) u will not gain wanted level if u don't use the cannon. wanted lvl will only raise if u either run over patrolling cops, or bump into police car (doesn't matter if their cars explode or not). doing either of those will gain u 1 star wanted level (big deal) 2) from my 400 lvls of Vilgilante Mission experience, there will be NO patrolling cop cars/bikes if u hold a 1 star wanted level. plus there will be NO crazy cop cars chasing after other criminals. and luckily the 1 star wanted level will not go away on its own (this has something to do with u being inside a special vehicle) so having 1 star will actually make things easier. 3) Rhino is the most durable vehicles in SA (duh~~~). since it's slow, it hard to spin out or flip over. 4) it's bulletproof so gunfire from the criminals' cars or other gang members will not cause any problem. 5) if u accidentally raised the wanted level to 2 stars and up. u can safely drive to Pay N Spray, switch cars, and clear your wanted level. notice that running into the cop cars that are chasing u (even if they explode) will not further raise your wanted level. 6) unlike the hunter, u don't need to pay attention not to bump into things. Hunter is nice, but it's hard to zig zac through certain landscape (especially SF).
nada
I just used the glitch. Couldn't do it at a resturant, but when I bought the house at Santa Maria Beach it works pretty good for me there. Had great fun with the Hunter in VC tho.
reboot
I didn't want to use glitches or cheat codes, and I didn't want to wait until later in the game for the hunter or rhino. If you feel like waiting or using a glitch or cheat then the hunter, then the rhino are the easiest by far. The hunter is way easier because if you're careful you'll never get more than a single wanted star. The rhino can be pretty hard to use and not draw attention, although it's possible, but it's almost indestructable. I wanted to do it as close to the begining as possible, and without having built up that much health it was kind of difficult for me on the bike. So I just recruited three of my gang members and hopped in a cop car, but I'd also gotten all the tags by then so they had good weapons. I guess it really depends on how far into the game you are, what you've inlocked, and what you're better at.
srg
If you're going to use the DP/BP/EP/FP HPV 1000 that you can get from one mission, you're better off than the rest. The Rhino can be vulnerable to fire if you get accidentally torched by the burning vehicles around. The hunter is a good choice too though you might find it hard to maneouvre in congested places.
