guv
I was recently of the opinion that Call of the Cthulhu was a flawed but nevertheless excellent horror/FPS. However, unless you are careful in one particuulaar section you will be unable to complete the game: Includes spoiler: There is a tricky section where you must try to save Ruth from up in the rafters of a building, and Ruth will fall to her death unless you get to her quickly. The problem is that should you fail there is no "Game Over" screen and you will be oblivious of the fact that you should reload and try again The game lets you continue playing even though there is no way you can continue to the next level. If you have saved at the handy save point unaware of this, it's permanent game over as there is no option to re-start the level. In other words - you're buggered. anuj
Haha, that is a really sh*tty bug. What are the specs of the game?
guv
It's an Xbox game, mate. ^^ Anyway, I restarted the game the same night - making sure I made a LOT of seperate saves to fall back on - and loved every minute. It may be a bit buggy, but it's one of the few truly original (and intelligently enjoyable) games I've played in years. It looks different to all the other formulaic FPSs on the market and has a fantastic atmosphere and loads of character. But beware that silly bug!
