shazard
shazard:I tried the keys. I got rid from the mouse problems, but I can't drive smoothly. I mean the car or moto is going sharply either to the left or the right (reminded me about my first learning to drive many years ago ). Either I miss something or I got used to the smooth moves by the mouse and I need to get used for the new control. Anyway, I think in some missions I'll need to switch to the keys for precise control. Yeah, thats the only problem with keys. Gamepad would be better(or even streering wheel)... Though I still like keys better. But you'll learn steering with'em keys in time. Most of the times while driving it's good to do just little taps on key. And sharp turning is actually good when you need to do those shapr turns. not much help this was i suppose, but as they say practice makes perfect
NG66
And sharp turning is actually good when you need to do those shapr turns. Yes exactly. I just started with the 8-Track mission, and i think the only way to finish it is to use the keys.
nada
To get around the aurora, simply aim with a gun, and you won't trip it while walking through it. Perhaps this is referring to mission markers? For instance, if you wanted to save in the Johnson house before doing the very first mission, you will need to get around the mission corona on the stairs. I usually jump the picket fence and climb up over the stair railing. Yeah, that's what I meant. Figured out accidentally that you couldn't trip the mission when you were autoaiming. I've tripped CJ's early missions too many times trying to jump over them... The autoaiming is easier, IMO.

How to earn money in the beginning of the game? apart from completing the missions. especially, where and how can I sell the cars i steal? Do i need to reach the export/import mission first? NG66
nada, pyro98: Thanks for the info, my money problems are solved I made $20,000 in supermarket and Taxi missions which were very useful increasing the stats. Then (taking Nick000 advice) I went to the ITB and played for one hour. Now I have about 6 houses + $1,000,000 Now time to do some main missions which are difficult for me at this time but the more i try the nearer to succeed. KDD This is a good idea also, thanks I tried to be 'peaceful' criminal in the start of the game. I mean stealing yes, but not killing unless for defence Anyway, after some missions especially after slaughtering the guards in OG book mission, I realized there is no way to have principals in this game! I must be a 'real' criminal, so i sold my soul to the Now I enjoy killing!

MrWiggles
Hello, When I started the game I was broke too. I only did the VICE CITY GTA prior to this game. So my first thought was to grab a taxi, learn the map and make money at the same time. My plan was OK, but not great. I had money, but only a pistol with little ammo. One day ... I shot 2 ballers on the bridge next to the train tracks leading to Jefferson. I wanted to increase my stamina and practice jumping the fence if they ran at me. I got some money and pistols (aka ammo). So I decided to just amush any baller gang members on the bridge leading to Jefferson. A message popped on the screen that said my pistol level increased. This method helped me to spot drug dealers before I knew what the looked like. I did start looking for dealers more and more, but the drug dealers are hard to find at the start of the game. Right now I basically look for dealers, especially between the GTA time of 8 pm and 6am. This is how I make my money while dealing with other aspects of the game. Right now, I am in San Fierro, but I still go back to Ganton, Jefferson and that area. Mainly I am finishing off finding the tags, but also to spot dealers. With Guns, I do NOT buy guns. I just stock up on the SMG and the AK-47. I try to use my SMG only for shooting while driving. Money is important, but your SKILLS help you to gain the money. The SKILL to evade, the SKILL to shoot and the SKILL to use time management.
NG66
atomicdali: Thanks, Nick000 also mentioned this solution which I used to solve my money problems. MrWiggles: Thanks for the info and details. I'm not very worried about the Stats because they are increasing during the missions. I have good stats and money now, not concerned about them a lot, as my aim just to not be 'weak'. I can say that I have an average stats which what I like in order to enjoy the game challanges. Well, I think just remain very few missions to end Los Santos part. I'm in that mission (Sh*t, I forgot the name!) when I must go to save Sweet from a trap (Smoke and Ryder have betrayed us ). It's from very few missions that i couldn't pass from the first try! Well i must be lucky to go this far and this fast because always I'm nearly dead or the car nearly destroyed. Thanks all for your replies and help. I wished that I can get such a help in Java, Linux forums
Nick000
That is the "Green Sabre". I don't understand why people have problems with that mission. It's just get a MP5, aim fire until the mission is over. If I had a PC I would have big problems considiring there is no auto aim.

I have PC, and have optical mouse (sh*t in actions). Controlling with my mouse is really bad especially when soft quick moves required. Many times i found CJ fill the screen and the camera go around and around, till i stop this, but in these seconds many shot me ..etc. Anyway I passed it Now in the third mission of Catalina
Nick000
Good to see you passed it. I had some trouble on the Catilina missions. (mostly tanker commander)
NG66
Good to see you passed it. I had some trouble on the Catilina missions. (mostly tanker commander) Yes, Catilina missions are little bit difficult, I needed to do them twice to pass. In this time money is not such problem as there are many missions that i can get money from when i pass them. The more i understand the game, the more i feel that the money problem is not that big problem! What i needed to do is finish los santos missions, then the money will come. I needed to be patient Anyway, the first million $$$ is cool from the horse races. If I'll restart the game, I'll try to play without the horse races trick and see. nada
Nah, don't do that. This is my fourth game started, and the second one where I've done the horse races early to get lots of money. While a ton of money isn't needed for the beginning game, it's so much easier to do when you have it. Don't have to worry about which safehouse to buy, or how much ammo if you're stuck going to ammunation to get it. My second game, I struggled to get to 3 mii by the time I was done with Import/Export. This game, I've got 9+ mil and just did the first Badlands mission....anyway, I just think it's better to have the money and not need it... NG66
Well, I won't restart the game now! I can't believe that i can pass some missions that till now I don't know how i passed them!. But the next time i'll start it without the 'hot coffee'. I still like the 'idea', but it is like not finished, and repetitive, the problem it has side effects on the story (i think), for example i already had 100% with Denise, then it was a mission (burning desire i think) which told me after passing it, that 'now Denise is your girlfriend' Ok back to the money, i think what mostly needed is: 1. Buying armor and ammo from time to time 2. When busted or wasted and if Barbara or Katie is not your girlfriends yet, you have to buy all the guns and ammo again. 3. Buying safe houses, at least one in every city. 4. Buying good clothes from Didier Sachs, cause with them already the sex appeal jump to around 50%. For now only the first need is what I'm spending on, and I think i have spent about $150,000 to $200,000 on houses and clothes.
dukenuke
In my opinion the fastest / easiest way to earn money in the beginning of the game is through pimping: help those bases in their work! You can find the pimp car easily in the vagos area. There is one parked close to a car wash to the west from the pizza shop where Ryder takes you. Completing pimping (10 missions) is easy, fast and gives you about 15.000 $ Once done you can start again if you like. Plus, I like to drive the Broadway: it's though, quite fast and glued to the road! not a piece of soap like Super GT or other sports cars. It has understeer but that's not a problem, just use the handbrake. So many babes, so little time...
