MI7
To be honest, I can't see much of a point with this, much like with the Music Guide. You can either look in your manual or elsewhere to find the information. This definately isn't going to cut down on the number of topics made. I made an encyclopaedia of topics covering everything a few months back, and it didn't solve anything. People can just search, or post a new topic. Get Connected. matt27689
Nice work Joey! Although when I made a FAQ it was locked as "the idea of forums is for people to ask questions, this will just prevent people from making boards" Something along those lines. But as you're not me, and more people like you. This'll probs stay open -pats-

Mxyzptlk
Yeah I'm not too sure why this FAQ gets big praise while in the past others got locked or ignored; but everyone seems to be enjoying it so good work. Looks good Joey, thanks for mention... Type this: "Good Job" So he's telling people to say his topic is good?

I made an encyclopaedia of topics covering everything a few months back, and it didn't solve anything. People can just search, or post a new topic. Well, I wanted this to be noticed so less topics would be made and I wanted it to cover a lot of the common questions/issues related to San Andreas. People can search, but I thought that this would be more appropriate what with it all being in one topic. So he's telling people to say his topic is good? Not at all. Ottae first posted that I'd forgot him in the special thanks. I edited the post with all the people that helped me with it, then I said to him that he might as well edit it. But he put good job anyway, so I'm not really telling people to say my topic is good. But yeah, I guess people can search on Google or something instead, but as people come here and ask questions in the San Andreas forum, I thought that an FAQ topic would give a good dose of information saving topics and questions. Thanks for the comments nonetheless though.

It never worked before, I think newbs will always make topics without reading pinned topics, FAQs or searching first. But, we can hope they'll learn some day... Mainland Marauder
Perhaps others weren't as well done. This isn't pointless if people read it. Problem is people post first and search later after the search link has been thrown in their face in a reply. As the cliche goes, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. You edited your post, you had the same thing written before, I just said that you could put it again. I wasn't telling anyone to say the topic is good. Now, I did make this topic for a reason and I ask that you only post if you feel it contributes to the thread. Thanks. @ MM and Mxy: Exactly! We must think of a suggestion to post in the forum suggestions section that will make topics like these get noticed. Mainland Marauder
Regarding the Taxi glitch - I have never encountered this (on original PS2 version) even after getting a pilot's license. I may be wrong but this seems to be more a PC thing. But then again my game seems not to do a lot of well-reported glitches like the one where CJ can't work out. Only two or three times in all I've played I haven't been able to work out when I should, and saving solved it every time. But maybe some copies of the game are less glitched than others? That, or it just depends on luck...
Mainland Marauder
Perhaps it's an instance of regression instead of progression in fixing glitches as later ports and versions were released... I believe, for instance in the XBox and PC versions as well as the rereleases that you can no longer exploit the glitch during Vigilante missions where entering an interior kills the criminals after waiting in there for a few seconds (apparently due to them respawning in the interior heavens as you go up there, then falling to their deaths). But then it's the people with those copies that report things like the Taxi glitch. It's important for people to consider what version of the game they have when posting about glitches... You might cover the basketball glitch if you haven't already. Basically, don't save at Madd Dogg's mansion. Use the nearby safe house in Mulholland. This glitch seems to be universal, even in my game. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be." This glitch seems to be universal, even in my game. At least that'd be the most sensible answer. I also noticed that when I got the Xbox version there weren't half as many glitches in the game as there was in the PS2 version. But that's expectable really, as the newer versions are the cleanest versions with smaller amount of bugs and glitches in the game, as is the PC version. I'll add the basketball glitch in just a sec...
Mainland Marauder
My theory on the source of the basketball glitch is that there is a basketball court in the gym within the mansion, but it never spawns a basketball and hence is useless. I think saving in that interior makes the game extend that glitch to all courts on the map. There's a pinned topic in C&T regarding the high-profile glitches such as the basketball and gym and there are suggestions offered as to how to remedy them. EDIT: My bad. That thread's in Gameplay which is next to dead these days (both the thread and the forum as a whole). That's a good answer and I can see that being the problem and the cause... Added the basketball glitch and info on the hidden tatoo parlour. Or, not too "hidden" in the Xbox and PC versions. I'll edit the first post with the links in the Cheats & Tricks section aswell. Edit: I was wondering why I couldn't find any topic of the like. Thanks. Added the link. Mainland Marauder
^Check my edit above if you're looking in C&T and not coming up with it. The Marauder goofeth. You might expound on the reasons for why the "hidden" tat parlor is so hidden from us first-release PS2 players. It was first speculated that it was an 11th-hour edit to the game for sanitization purposes (with the Hemlock parlor offering 420-related tats and such) but with its correct inclusion in the subsequent releases it is pretty clear it was an honest mistake by Rockstar that walking into Hemlock directs you to the LS parlor interior. Also, people ask why you can see people in the mirror in the tat parlors when zooming in with a sniper rifle or camera. You are looking into other interiors nearby in the heavens; because there is a 24-7 located nearby according to Carpetdweller's interiors maps and guides I surmise you are seeing a ped and a video game machine which is inside the 24-7. In the Venturas tat parlor you can see into the sex shop located nearby (both in the exterior world and in the interior heavens). Also, in the Sub-Urban interior you can zoom through the mirror and see an Ammu-Nation which is adjacent in the heavens. I can imagine that mistaking and directing one interior for another can't be that hard and easy to notice. But not that I know much, or anything about it, just saying that it's probably quite common. And I knew about the whole mirrors and seeing parts of different buildings thing. Same goes for when in the Johnson house, pointing a rocket launcher at the mirror and the rocket going straight through, not exploding back to you. I'll add all this info now. Mike_Toreno
Thanks for the pinnage suggestion. I guess I can't say I'd go against that either. I'm not actually that sure about the tables and whether it looks better than it did before. For some reason I just can't get to like the way it looks like right now. Well, I saved the code for the non tabled text so putting it back wouldn't be a problem. I'll make a new banner for it tomorrow aswell. Until then, friends. Mainland Marauder
I like it either way. I can do with or without the tables. A pin could well be in order for this. This forum needed a one-stop Q&A that covers everything. It's obvious people don't like to hop around from page to page to get answers to burning questions, as evidenced by the many topics we've seen over the months which are covered here. I imagine this would be of a lot more help and use if it was pinned. Thanks for the suggestion anyway. It's the moderators decision though. As we speak I'm working on some code and order, making it look much more 'professional', if you like. I'll be updating it with new tables, colour, GFX, and info. This is going to be a big update! Thanks to gillies for PMing me the suggestion on the tables. Edit: Updated it with better tables. It's coming together now! GFX will be added soon. That's actually a pretty good banner and I may use it. But I'd like it transparent so if I have the time I'll do it and add it in. Thanks. I've added a contents section at the start so people won't have a problem finding their question/issue. Added a new banner aswell. It's all looking good now. But what I need now is more Questions and Answers for it, if anyone has any at all then please just say. I want this to be a big FAQ!

Mxyzptlk
I got a question i got the Triology version but it dont show is San Andreas is second edition or not.Do you know if the Triology is second edition? Also you might want too add that the Territory glitch dont work for the Xbox version or atleast the trilogy Hey, this topic is for praising Mike Toreno, not asking questions about San Andreas!! The trilogy version is second edition, I'm pretty sure. Because the territory glitch works on Xbox version 1.
