Q) I've heard there's a bigfoot in San Andreas. As well as many other strange myths. Are they true? A) Absolutely not, don't waste your time searching. The person who started the bigfoot rumour? Confessed at Gamefaqs not long ago. Also, modders have searched through the game coding and have found nothing of the sort. It's all bullsh*t, end of story. Q) What's the difference between version 1, version 1.01, and version 2.0 of San Andreas? A) Version 1.0 is completely moddable. Version 1.01 is fully moddable. Some mods are unavailable with version 1.01 as Hot Coffee is. Mods like cam-hack, but most should be compatible with version 1.01. Version 2.00 can be modded, it's just very limited. You can still use the likes of .scm mod's, .img cannot be modded, .exe cannot be hacked (yet). Some mods are unavailable with version 1.01 as Hot Coffee is. Mods like cam-hack, but most should be compatible with version 1.01. Q) I've heard that there's a way of entering a portion of Liberty City via San Andreas, is this true? A) Yes, that is indeed correct. Visit this topic which will guide you through entering a portion of Liberty City. You also have to fly to Liberty City at some point in the game as a mission. Q) For some reason I can't trigger the basketball mini-game any longer. Why is that so? A) This, is because you must of saved your game at Madd Dog's Mansion. Don't save at Madd Dogg's Mansion. Use the nearby safe house in Mulholland. If you were unlucky and saved at Madd Dog's Manison, then the only soloution that I know of is to start the game again and learn from the consequences. Links will be added if a way to stop this glitch is found. Q) Can I enter hidden interiors in the game that Rockstar decided not to show? A) Indeed you can. This topic will give you all the information you need to know and a map of all interiors and where to go while going through the process of hidden interiors via the Gantom Gym. Hidden Interior Map Q) I've heard that if you fly for several hours to a point in San Andreas you will enable gang glitches with new gang spawn points and new gangs on the streets such as the Triads having sections of turf in San Fierro, etc. A) Yes, this has been done and proved by the member Agent Ozzy. For more information and the topic on this please visit here. This won't work in the Xbox or PC version though. Only for PS2! Q) After buying the airstrip, where do I go to continue? A) You must walk up the steps behind the save point and enter the red marker near the TV. You will enable "Flying School" which will progress you through the game as you need. *NOTE* You need to earn a bronze medal on each lesson at least to carry on with the next lesson. You must complete the whole of Flying School before you can progress further in the game. Q) I'm only on the first island and I can't enter the Los Santos airport via the entrance, am I still able to fly planes and helicopters? A) Of course you are. Either enter a plane/helicopter cheat or enter the Jetpack cheat which lets you simply roam over the entrance of the airport and steal a plane. Note that not all aircraft will be open, some will, some won't. Alternatively, park a number of vehicles up by the entrance, get up on them and jump over the gate. Whichever is easiest for you, but it's definately something you can do. The "Taxi Glitch" you may encounter getting the message, "No Fares Nearby"... I would recommend players complete the Taxi Mission before trying to learn to fly at all. It happened to me (on PC) right after the airport gates open for you automatically (and has been confirmed by numerous others on the forum). Also, if CJ is not too fat, he can grab onto some of the fencing around the airport or onto the building at the gate entrance with the guy telling you that he won't let you in without a pilot's license. Get a running start and time your jump so that CJ's hands will be at the level of its roof (or the top of the fence ledge) when he meets it. Q) I've noticed that when I parked more than four cars in any of my garages some of them disappear, why is that so? And how mant vehicles am I allowed to store in each garage? A) Yes, you are only able to leave four or less vehicles in each garage. It is impossible to store any more without them all disappearing. Q) What is the Hot Coffee mod? A) The Hot Coffee mod is a mod of course, which allows you to enter your girlfriend's house and have sex with her. Note that it's only able to get on the PC version 1.0. Q) Is there a way to pilot the Andromada in the game? A) Yes, but that can only be done with a cheat device such as AR Max. Or using a mod with the PC version. Q) Modding, how do I make my own mods? A I'll refer to the Modding Section of the forum for related issues on modding. Q) I'm having trouble passing a certain mission, could it be because I entered cheat codes? A) Yes, indeed this has happened a number of times before. One of these missions is called "Maddog". If you'd entered the "Peds Riot" cheat then Maddog will jump from the building too early, in a matter of seconds infact, failing the mission. The only way to prevent that is to start the game and not use cheats I'm afraid. Some combinations of cheats can affect certain missions causing you to fail them. Q) How come my Hydra flys like a helicopter? A) This means you haven't put it into second gear. Putting the Hydra into second gear enables you to fly the Hydra normally as you would a normal plane. To do this, you have to hold the right analogue stick up for a few seconds (PS2 and Xbox version). To shift down a gear again hold the right analogue stick down for a few seconds. On the PC the default controls for the thrusters are NUM 8 and NUM 2. Q) What is the Beat the Cock Race? A) It's a triathlon race in which you compete against seven other racers, you must swim, cycle and run through different checkpoints. The race is available when you unlock the whole of San Andreas and is open on weekends. The two locations to start is Santa Maria Beach and Palomino Creek. Q) Where is the Euros located in San Andreas? A) The only way to get hold of the Euros is to find it spawned under the sphinx in Las Venturas. It only spawns there when you are in need of getting it. After that it's gone. Q) What version of San Andreas have I got? A) Version 1.0 for PC, Xbox, and PS2 don't indicate which version they are. Version 1.01 for PC adds the version info to the main menu (says 1.01 in the lower right corner of the screen). Version 2.0 for PS2 is the "Special Edition" (box art) and version 2.0 for PC and Xbox it says "Second Edition" on the packaging (Xbox art, PC art). Q) Why did they take San Andreas out of stores? A) Because people like Jack Thompson complain about how violent the game is and because of the "Hot Coffee" mod it was taken off the shelves. Version 1.0 is rather difficult to get hold of right now. You're lucky if you're still able to get hold of a copy of version 1.0. Ebay is your best bet now. Q) I'm on PC and have heard of various mods that allow you to play online. What are my choices? A) Well, you can download Multi Thef Auto::San Andreas. It's basic racing in all sorts of vehicles and just general online play. All the links you need for information and what you have to download (eg: server and client): http://light.mtavc.com/ http://sa-mp.com/blog.php/ http://www.gtarumble.co.uk/ ** San Andreas Multiplayer (SA-MP) (another online mod) is in it's stages of being beta tested and will be released soon. A) Copy the shortcut of the music file and paste into your GTA San Andreas User Files > User Tracks, then in game go to options, and scan for user tracks. Now in game your tracks should be on the station "User Radio". Q) After completing the mission, The Green Sabre I lost all my terrotories and am unable to start gang wars. Is this meant to happen? Will I be able to take over territorries again? A) Yes, you will do. Don't worry on that note. You will be able to start gang wars again. It's all the process of going through the game storyline. Q) I only have it on Xbox/PS2, am I still able to mod the game? A) Well, it is possible but you're better off getting the PC version if you want to mod the game. You can mod it, by using a cheat device to transfer the mod files onto your console. Cheat devices such as AR Max. * Useful Link * Q) I'm having trouble with Girlfriends in the game including wondering what I get as a gift when I get 100% with a certain girl. Can you help? A) I'll refer you to the Girlfriends Guide on all information you need to know about it. Q) When I click on the icon to start up San Andreas (PC version) it just stays there and no loading occurs. After excessive amounts of double clicking the startup icon it still doesn't work. Why is this so? A) This is rather common and has happened to a lot of people. It's most probably running at the same time. Two of the same programs can't be in use at the same time. Click the Task Bar -> Properties -> Processes Tab -> End "gtasa.exe". Then try running the game again and it should work. Q) Are glitches all multiformat? A) No, becuase the lamp light glitch is present on the Xbox but not on the PS2. As are some other and will note them down when I come to think of any. Q) I completed the game storying and only have **%, why do I not have 100% game completion? A) Because for you to reach the 100% goal you must complete a number of things like sub-missions, side missions, collecting items, etc. * 100% Completion Checklist * Q) Where can I find <insert vehicle name here>? A) Most vehicle spawn points can be found on the Java Map. Q) How do I retract my landing gear? A) The default key is "NUM2" to retract the landing gear. Q Who's the blonde girl on the cover art? Is she in the game? A) No, she's just there to get horny teenagers to buy the game, as if killing cops and stealing cars wasn't attractive enough to them. Q) Are the Unique Stunt Jumps required to be completed in order for you to reach 100%? A) Nope, not at all. This is optional and doesn't matter if you choose not to do them, it doesn't make a difference if you decide to do or don't complete them - they're not required for 100%. Q) I've heard of many myths and rumours in San Andreas, some of which that there is a so-called "Leatherface" roaming around in San Andreas and UFOs. Can you confirm this? A) No, it's all bullsh*t. Same for the Bigfoot rumour, modders and coders have searched through the game coding and have found nothing of the sort. Also, Rockstar even announced themselves that all of this was indeed fake. In some versions there are more glitches than others. If you own the PC or Xbox version then it's obvious that a lot of the bugs and glitches were taken out and fixed while Rockstar were working on the following versions after the PS2 version was released. One of which includes the hidden tattoo parlour. The tattoo parlour in San Fierro (PS2 version) lead you to the one in Las Venturas when entering it. It's just a case of getting people to see it and making sure they come to this topic before asking any questions related to San Andreas. Maybe it could be pinned at the topic along with Girlfriends Guide, Clothes Guide, Weapons guide, etc? I mean, that way it'll get noticed and the topic not just bumped down the page and left to die. And you have the trigoly, which means you bought the boxset, which includes GTA3, VC, and SA, if I'm not mistaken. As far as I know the trilogy is only the boxset and is the normal version. I've had a few PMs my way on suggestions and things to add, it's all up to date now and I've added a bit of colour and boldness. It's coming along nicely now...
