Escalade_Driver Posted February 15, 2006 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Hey guys, Just got back into GTA after two or so years, and I'm a n00b. Anyway, I'm trying to install a car on GTA:SA that replaces the emperor. Inside the rar file is emperor.txd and emperor4.dff (yes, emperor4). I did it the old fashioned way, opened up imgTool, opened gta3.img, renamed emperor4.dff to emperor.dff, and loaded both the .dff and the .txd into gta3.img. After about 10 minutes of gameplay, I couldn't find a single emperor. I probably missed something, after all, it's been a couple of years, and they may have changed something from VC to SA. EDIT Okay, I try the car spawner...the car does show up, but the detailing's all messed up, and the lights don't work...hmm...and I never once saw an emperor on the road...is it a rarity or something? holdenrulz Posted February 17, 2006 Share Posted February 17, 2006 check the spelling of the model name if the name is off than it would load the old files and by the sound of it the spelling of the .txd is wrong so the game is loading the original file The names of the cars are all in vehicles.ide in the data folder of you San Andreas Installation if you want to check the spelling Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
