Nazgul2479
I am using my PS2 controller to play this but I can not program it fully. For instance, it does not recognise when I move one of the analog sticks. Has anyone programed the controller fully? So now the right analog stick doesn't move the camera like the PS2 version. stead
if your not using v2 or the hot coffee patch, try saac at www.tocaedit.com i use it and it lets you configure your controller much better, i have a ps2 style gamepad, with ps2 style controls (ie the d-pad can actually be used, and you can set walking and show stats to the same button!) Nazgul2479
It only recognises Left and Right on the Right Analog stick.
Nightblade765
Are there any programs that work with V2? Like the PS2 controller...
mugenman
I am using a "Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual analog" controller and when I first tried SAAC 1.1 (which I got from a mod site) it didn't recognize my right analog UP or Down either (only Left and Right like you). But after I tried the newer version (SAAC 1.2) from the official www.tocaedit.com site - it ended up fixing that problem for me (now it works just like any dual analog controller should). So I don't know why it wouldn't fix it for you too if you have tried the 1.2 version ? I also found that it's best to keep the actual in game control option set to "Mouse and Keyboard " (just so you can use them if you want in addition to the controller) The one thing I don't understand is how many times when I enter any vehicle - it will instantly switch to that "crosshair/ shoot while hanging out the side of the window" type view - and then I cannot switch it back to any of the normal views for some reason ? It just seems to be an odd glitch, since it goes away after a reload or 2, but I don't know how to activate it when I do want it either (does anyone know waht command in SAAC makes you go into the "crosshair in vehicle view" ?) I'll post my full button layout/ configuration if anyone wants that or needs it Edited February 19, 2006 by mugenman
singemfrc
Ive found what works best is an actual PS2 controller. Buy an adapter (like off of ebay) for like $1 and you can plug your ps2 controller into the PC USB port. Control is almost exactly like the PS2 version but with all the graphics and mods from the PC version
Dopes
Anyone know anything more about getting the F£$%ing right analog stick (views) to work with Version 2 yet?? - OR - Should I just forget about it and accept the fact that I will have to perform the necessary 'surgery' to my v.2 exe (downgrading to v.1) and install the saac1.2 and go from there. What a load of ...
