gannonroader
Ok, so where are people finding dye???? I found one in the catacombs, and that was the end of my dye finding days. Anyone have any tips on where I should look for dye? Or any other tips or tricks I should know.
Grandal.
The only sure fire way to get dyes is go to the Dye Trader...but it sounds like you may still be in pre-searing (pretty) ascalon so he isnt available yet. Dye drops are completely random so just doing missions and running the EA's should yield you quite a few. If it is just normal dye (red/yellow/blue/ect) they should be pretty cheap at the dye trader though. p.s. How far into the game are you? I havent played it in months but i have beaten it with 3 different characters and have been thinking of starting to play again.
Meltdown
If you're just looking for dye to sell for easy cash then I find the areas around Yaks bend are quite good for dyes, although you may not be there yet. Another good place is around Piken Square, black dyes are the most common to find but they could take anything from 10 minutes to 10 days to find. gannonroader
I'm not in "pretty" ascalon anymore. I'm almost level 8, and just finished some quests around piken square so I might check out the scene. haha. I know some guys in my class that go farming hardcore some nights and find 20 dye in just a couple hours. And I've seen the proof to know their not lying. But I only found 1 in the whole time I played and it was in the catacombs. It was silver and I accidently used it on my bag!!!!!! hahahaa I near punched myself. but yeah, i got bonelace armour now, and it's red, and I dont' like the color. also, I want to dye my axe. fox09
You can't use dye on bags. You probably just dropped it in the bag, and it's in there.
