bujo
I made building and it's LOD (in sketchup) and put it in game (finaly) somehow. Since i had problems making my own IPL (game crashes all time) i put them in vegasN.ipl. And It worked (almost). Now LOD shows all time,it doesn't vanish when i come closer. IDE Line IPL Line LOD Model And It looks like this in game (not best pic but you'll get point) What could it be? Before i put it as new object,i tried replacing it with lighthouse and it worked then. What did i F**K UP?
DeathSquad
I forget what the last digits in the IDE lines mean, I believe special flags and such. Change them to zero and try that. 18631, manor, manor, 299, 018632, manorLOD, manorLOD, 1000,
aad
Your wrong deathsquad. There is an simple rule for making lods of current object. the ipl line of the object itself needs to and at an 1 and the ipl line of the LOD needs to end at an -1 if you place another object after that the object will end with an 3 and the lod will end with an -1 heree is an sample code of mine stuff that i did for myriad. OBJECT2076, Aadsmb2, 0, -279.2, -184.5, 18, 0, 0, 0.707106, 0.707107, 1LOD2077, Aadsmb2_lod, 0, -279.2, -184.5, 18, 0, 0, 0.707106, 0.707107, -1OBJECT2078, gtiA_16CP, 0, -184.0, -185.0, 16.1, 1.3268e-06, 1.3268e-06, -1, -1.3268e-06, 3LOD2079, gtiA_16CP_lod, 0, -184.0, -185.0, 16.1, 0, 0, -1, 0.707107, -1 you will see how it all wil work. Succes. Dont imitate, recreate or copy just get your own ideas. DeathSquad
So what does it mean if you have all IPLs in the file -1? Curious since that's how I got my current mapping adventures on SA setup as, and I don't see any difference in the game. But I'll note I'm crazy and use the regular models for LODs so there is no difference between the two.
aad
I do the same i just make a copy of my model and rename it and use it as an LOD model and just give it the same texture reference in the IDE file. but the difference with the -1 and the 1 at the end is that the ones with -1 will dissapear when the real models appear so when u set an LOD model at a draw distance of 2000 and the normal model at 300 the LOD model will dissapear at and distance at 1700 feet since then the real model will apear and if u dont use the -1 the model will stay as an object and wont dissapear if the real model already appeared hope this is clear to u. Big-Bear
Ypu just take -1 with LOD's, and normal textures, you just do it like this: 1-3-5-7-9 You can see it as all the odd numbers need to place behind the normal textures, and form small to big numbers
bujo
I copied model and renamed it. It's easiest solution. Thanks for help !
