Samurai_tbag
I tried a steed mod, but it just spawns you back on your bike instead of stoping you falling off, anyone know any trainers/mods to stop it? *Sorry if in wrong section*
finallight
No mods or trainers that I know of. You can use the clothes glitch, it keeps you from falling off your bike. This vid, here, shows how to do the clothes icon glitch.
Samurai_tbag
how come on some stunt vids people can do outragous grinds and spins without falling off, not to mention it says on Edison Carters cheatdevice info. that the Don't fall off your bike cheat "Remember it from Vice City?" finallight
They have skill, they practice, and attempt those stunts for sometimes hours, or days. I don't know what Edison ment by that. He might've been refering to the icon glitch, cause it's kinda like a cheat, just not a button cheat.
Samurai_tbag
Hmm i still dont see how it is possible to some of the stunts shown in the videos without a steed cheat
M4CC41
They are all skill. Any stunt videos using a 'never fall off' cheat are rubbish.
Spuds725
Hmm i still dont see how it is possible to some of the stunts shown in the videos without a steed cheat I used to believe they used mods too, until I saw one of Nitkitz early vids done on PS2--- not modable... Watch the vids... they do have to land correctly-- there is a fair amount of skill involved. Samurai_tbag
Forgetting about GameShark? Thats a trainer... PSY admited he used a cheat device in his VC stunt vid, that involvolved no falling of bikes
Spuds725
If you are looking for a mod, check the modding section-- http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?c=22 I don't believe the majority of stunt vids use mods or game shark codes. Just practice and repetition. You are entitled to your opinion... Demarest
Unless you are perfectly under the bike, the game will allow you to stay on. Let's not argue a proven fact. It's just a video game after all. If you want to know what edison meant by something, ask him?
Seddo
if you get a bike and drive to a clothing icon and stop on top of it then get off your bike and get back on before the screen fades you will be morphed in to the bike

chaosislife
ok all, I've got an idea.... The falling off the bikes bit is probably hardcoded so what you might do is replace a car with a motorcycle model so the exe. will recognize it as a car and not a bike.theoretically this should stop you from falling off but theres really no telling how it would handle on the roador whether you'll be able to sit on it right.naturally you'll also want to replace the handling stats for said car with a bikes stats.I'll prolly try it out sometime myself but i'm just too lazy right now.if ya'all are bored try it out and tell everyone what you learn ok? Hacking the executable is by no means an easy feat. By the sounds of it ("probably hardcoded", "what you might do", etc.) you don't understand that. If I've misread you, go ahead and try it. Prove me wrong. But you know, I still find a successful landing beats any other proposed method for not falling off your bike.
chaosislife
nah mate what I was talking about was changing a car to a bike much like how you would install any other vehicle mod. I've done it once already in GTA 3 by replacing the rhino with the "chopper" mod(it turned out kind of glitchy since it had three wheels instead of twobut hey i liked it like that)Trying to edit the executable would be insane as well as illegal.though if i had the skills that prolly wouldn't stop me
syrdax
I can do things in a bike that normally makes you fall, and I don't like to play with cheats or strange mods, I'm tired of getting handling exception errors so I don't even have cars mods in game; I like to play the game for hours (when I have the time) and I like to do everything, from flying the hunter to ride the bike, so sometimes I spend hours (really, hours) in the airport doing things with the bike so I have some experience and I can say that sometimes, there are things that I do that makes me say "whish I record this"... like when landing from a big jump the bike ends going backwards, I mastered somehow that I just don't fall down anymore and I can keep going backwards and even do jumps, is just a matter of practise, also, you have to learn to use the lean back and forward buttons as well. So in honnor of all my effort and time I put in the game, I know that there are people who even spend more time and practise lot more and even try to specialize (sp?) in some things. As the old adage goes, "practice makes perfect". Certainly the most rewarding method of not falling. @ chaosislife - sorry for the misunderstanding. I catch your drift now, and yeah, that'd be a possibility, definitely. Might look a bit uncoordinated and/or clumsy during gameplay, though. chaosislife
so yeah, i tried to install the angel in place of the rhino and it didn't work at all.I changed the handling,.ide,.dff, .txd and the .col ,but when i tried to spawn it it looked really screwed up.It had tiny little wheels and was flipped on it's side.Attempting to get on it caused the game to crash........So yeah I'd say that idea won't work, could try it on a regular vehicle or a boat or something but i seriously doubt that'll work.I tried out the clothes icon glitch and that is definately safer but it would be nice if there was a scm mod or something that would allow you to activate that at anytime so we can fire the weapons and then re-morph. [XGS] shadow
what did you use to spawn it because if you use a trainer it wont work
3niX
Well... Erm, actually... if you guys have played MTA:SA then I suppose you have noticed that you cant get off the bike.... not even fall. Maybe asking their team the question would be appropriate.
chaosislife
Hmm that might have been why...maybe i'll have to try it out again when I can get the Rhinos to chase me or appear in the base(i still haven't finished the game, haven't finished any of the games really)Also I kind of doubt the SA technique could be applied to VC's bikes, haven't played SA yet but from what i'm hearing on here I'd conclude that it is quite different from LC and VC Edited February 28, 2006 by chaosislife
nitzkit
making tommy not fall off your bike would be the end of stunting as we know it. It's all practice, Hell i'm gonna be stunting for almost 2 years now I know (i think) every trick in the book when it comes to stunting in VC, and modding tommy to stick to the bike like glue aint one of them. chaosislife
well yeah nitz,it wouldn't be a good idea if yer thinkin about the stunting angle seeing as how it would just be cheating, but i'm more concerned with being able to ram a wall head on at almost top speed or even climbing up them (wih amped stats) like I did in LC...Also my comp's just a little bit slow so i have a tendency to hit things that i can't see yet because the textures haven't loaded.I think I'll need to get a CPU and video card upgrade for San An. all in all tho I think we can probably end this here by saying if you want to stay on use a steed mod and if you like the taste of gravel don't Edited March 20, 2006 by chaosislife
