boobtronic
In your guys' oppinions..what are THE heaviest bands in existence? I'm in the mood for something a little...non-traditional.
President Paul
The heaviest band in existance is propablly Crowbar. not only is there music heavy but the members combined weight outweighs any band in existance.
Scarface187
Napalm Death and Origin are pretty heavy. Its kind of hard to think of the heaviest for me though.

Moonshield
It's either going to be a death metal or drone/doom band that uses some ridiculously low tuning. B or some sh*t.
Rayo Puño
It's either going to be a death metal or drone/doom band that uses some ridiculously low tuning. B or some sh*t. Would you even be able to play that low? I'd think the stings would be too loose and it kind of just hang. Anything heavier than Iced Earth is too heavy for me, so I wouldn't know. Not really a problem if you used heavy gauge of strings. I have one of my guitars set up with 12 gauge strings and I tune down to A and they hold up nice. I think the heaviest thing I listen to is Deicide. But I listen to other stuff as heavy as them, like Dying Fetus amongst others.
Uno Carb
In terms of thrash, Sodom and Vio-Lence are pretty f*cking heavy.
Groovy
In terms of thrash, Sodom and Vio-Lence are pretty f*cking heavy. Add Sepultura to the heavy thrash, atleast the old stuff anyways. Arise is some heavy sh*t.
Moonshield
i would have to say N'Sync.............lol..lmao.....rofl..........hahahhahahah Yeah, they're some pretty heavy death metal. Or were they black metal? Wait, that's the same thing, isn't it? My mistake.

B is quite normal, seen on every 7 string guitar and played in every numetal band. Hell, I've even got one on my bass! F#, however, is another thing altogether... Sounds like gravy rolling down a hill. EDIT: Oops.... Forgot there was a topic at hand. Coltrane? Edited February 5, 2006 by lesfleanut
De_Spank
Malevolent Creation is pretty heavy stuff.

Unless you want to take it lower.
Nargaroth
Im almost positive on Brodequin. Perhaps Liturgy on that matter. I say almost since there's a lot of undergound death metal bands rising everywhere and its hard to keep track on the heaviest one. With Broquedin you're up to some severe traumatisms, though. Arise is some heavy sh*t. Ehh, Beneath The Remains > Arise, but I like the riffs on Arise alot more than Beneath The Remains. PS. I've heard Brodequin is some heavy sh*t.
