trip skip

i am wondering how to use trip skip.is there only certain missions that use it?how and when do you activate it?or how do you know when you can?any help? thanks

When you fail a mission, that involves driving to a destination, instead of doing the driving again, trip skip takes you right to the important bit.

Yes such as long distance driving missions. Quite handy really hope its in GTA4.

yes thanks,i kinda know what it does , i just don't know how or when to activate it.if i get busted or wasted in a mission, can it still be used?or say on the lifes a beach mission for example,if i fail the dance,do i drive back to og's and use the trip skip or can i do it right then.so far, every time i hit the trip skip, nothing happened.can i do it on any mission?

Just what JCC said... if you fail a mission from dying ot being busted, next time you step into the marker to start the mission the trip kip will be there: IF the mission involves a lot of driving before you get to the main part of it.

For Lifes a Beach, you would go to burger shot and then get the option to be at the beach, I think.

Trip skip is real handy if you collect the proofed and unique vehicles like srg and I do. I've used it on "OG Loc," "Lure," and "Misappropriation" after each was intentionally failed to get a special vehicle of some kind. You will always be prompted when activating the previously-failed mission if Trip Skip is an option for you.

i just started the game so , so far i've never seen any prompt for trip skip;though i'm only on the og - loc missions.if i were to get wasted or busted in a mission then use trip skip;it seems afterward i would have to reload on the weapons i had before i save again or lose them as opposed to restarting.i was thinking of using the keep weapons after wasted or busted cheat.

I can't use trip skip.

 

Whenever it says to push the trip skip button, I do it, I push the one it has bound for me, but it never works. Same thing when picking up a hooker(its the same key, the Y key), it never works. Why is this, anybody know? It is driving me bonkers.
