DexX
what version of the game do you have? if you have 2.00, it wont work with most mods at all.
dissembled
my game crashes pretty often too. what sucks most is than i don't really know what's doing it... could be the skin/vehicle mods. could be due to defragment. could be due to a poorly coded game. i'll never know. Not rebuilding the archve just causes the game to crash during load time. I could get all technical and explain why but i'm lazy. R.I.P. If you rebuild the archive the game does crash alot more than if you don't rebuild the archive. I have tested it
the_king
Are you trying to say that you're smarter than the super experienced modders who made img tool? The people who made this tool knew what they were talking about, so don't post sh*t saying you tested your "theory" and that you are correct. fuckindumass
I had defragged and ended up with 970 fragments from gts sa that would not go away, even in safe mode. Rebuilding the archive made it possible to defrag 100% so um rebuild that archive
DexX
that is simply wrong. in almost every case you'll need to rebuild, simply because the files going in the img are usually bigger than the originals, and the game will continue to crash/not load what your replacing until you DO rebuild it. the only time rebuilding isn't totally is necessary, is if the file you are putting into the img is the same size as, or smaller than the file your replacing, and thats not often.
